Any ASTers headed to the NYC shows on Tuesday? I have been avoiding buying the podcasts so I can be surprised. Looking forward to it as it is my birthday too.
I'll be at the 10:30 one, and maybe at the 8:00 one if I can't sell my extra tickets.
If anybody wants 2 tickets to the early show for $30 each (that's what I paid after fees), send me a private message.
Today's ep was hilarious.
So. . . .
Hairy Butt-holes. Yay or Nay?
I host a comedy podcast about parenting.

I'm waiting til James Adomian's album comes out before I pick it AND the Comedy Bang! Bang! LIVE 2012 Summer Tour recordings up.
I'm curious, how long are those tour episodes?
edit: Yay. I don't floss enough.
I was trying to dig up some video/audio of Adomian as Huell and found that someone uploaded this old clip entitled "Huell Howser Invents Racism".
It's always a treat when Adomian gives us a peek into Huell's dark side as a manchurian candidate.
James was Jesse Ventura last night at the NYC shows. It was the best Ventura I have heard him do. He absolutely killed. It was so fun live. I didn't attend the late show, but I assume it was probably even crazier. Also, thanks for that old Huell Howser clip.
He did Huell Howser for the second NYC show. The wheel landed on audience choice. I don't know what the Jesse Ventura segment was like, but Adomian was the only one talking for most of the last 15 minutes. It was great, even if he was too tired to turn into a crowbot.
Super fun DC show tonight. Huell Howser was fun-fucking-tastic and Braunholer was icing on the cake. Heidecker was like a cake without icing, still delicious.
After hearing the Boston podcast, I really want to hear Taran Killam on a regular show. I thought he was great.
Additionally, I will be at the Philadelphia show. Will other people be there as well? Probably!

I'm pretty sure Tim's stand-up set was the hardest I've ever laughed in my life. Just outstanding, truly one of the most brilliantly timed, conceived, and executed comedic sets I've seen. The best part about it was the table next to me was all these middle-aged people who had never heard of the show or podcast before and I guess had gotten tickets through the venue or something (the table was marked as reserved and they were sat right as the show was beginning). They laughed through the whole show and liked it, but most of the irony of Tim's set went completely over their heads. The fat guy behind me kept trying to correct Tim in his confusion of Star Wars and Star Trek. This just made the whole thing even more perfect.
And the podcast was fantastic as well; I loved Huell venturing into the audience. I got some great photos* I'll post later when I'm not at work.
*My flash was off; I am not responsible for any crowbot inducing.

I enjoyed this set too, but I think it was a pretty thin bit that he stretched too long. I hear comedians ripping lesser known standups for doing the "bad comedian" angle pretty often, and I think he's getting laughs primarily from being a popular quirky guy. I'd say he did the routine very well and, like I said, I did enjoy it... but the concept is so well trod that I wish he'd gotten out of it and played some more angles. That he fooled anyone in the crowd is a testament to his showmanship, but he was so over the top that I'd sooner ascribe that to their gullibility
Maybe I'm just too much of a Party Down Fanman not to think this way but I found the way Martin Starr played off of Scott and Lennon utterly brilliant and I want him back in that Earwolf studio lickety split.
I just love Megan Mullally.
I've been kind of busy moving to Vancouver and life and whatnot and not had the time to listen to the podcast for awhile so I've been avoiding this thread and any Comedy Bang Bang so I wouldn't spoil the fun for when I go back and listen to it. So when I just met Scott and his wife Kulap on the street I was all "I'm a big fan!" and he's all "Oh yeah? Did you see the show on Friday?" and I'm like, "...no I forgot." Some big fan. Anyways it was really cool to meet them. Bye!
I wanna see Tophe Shell and David (pronounced Cyrillic masculine sg glic plural mòrspelling Dah' veed) Arrows in the same podcast room together.
