Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
I absolutely loved it when David and Scott kept telling Mr. Wain he meant Neil Diamond and not Al Jolson. And then suggested he might be a little senile. :)
I thought the episode might be understandably a little subdued with family in the room, but Adomian managed to kill it and keep it clean as Busey.

I love how restrained Adomian's Busey is. He plays it so straight forward that I could see someone that didn't know any better actually believing it was really GB on the CBB.
Henry Wain needs his own Earwolf show.

Yes! I was delighted to hear little kid noises in the background. (Even though, there weren't as many as I would have imagined. What a fantastic, well-mannered child!)
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
I agree, if I didn't know it was Adomian I would have thought it was the real Gary Busey.
He really has perfected the impression entirely.
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
I thought David Wain's dad was an Andrew Daly character for a good 5-10 minutes.

I was really sure it was all a bit for a long time. I was very excited to see where the Henry thing went until it occurred to me that it was probably a real child.
Still a really solid episode.

If I could discuss the live show for a mo'
Tonight's was fucking crazy. Harris did like six minutes of foam corner, most of which was a new character: the stand up comedian who cheats at stand up; James Adomian did an extra hilarious extra long set that included his Todd Glass (I like to pretend he did it just for me), Westside Brody Stevens, and Hunter S. Tompkins (yup); and Greg Fitzsimmons did one of the most provocative sets I've ever seen (re: race) that caused one gentleman to walk out while flipping Greg the bird and one girl to cry. Greg's set really pushed the envelope of what's appropriate and I loved it, probably because it made me a little uncomfortable as well. Throw in Nikki Glaser, Sara Schaefer, Jay Larson, Steve Agee, Myq Kaplan, and Pete Holmes and you get the best live CBB I've ever seen.
Sorry to make people jealous, but y'all gotta come to these shows!
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
I agree that tonight may have been the best CBB I've ever seen and Gregs set pushed everything to the extreme. It left at least one guest crying (and not from laughter) and more than a few upset. Also everyone needs to pick up a CA from all the performers because they are solid. I would put down over a thousand dollars if they need to record. Just everyone was on fire.

Harris would go out and say something like so girlfriends are the worst, right? Or am i wrong? and then he would just ask people in the audience about their girlfriend and whether they like hanging out with her or not.
Unfortunately one of the guys he chose to talk was a real douche and wouldn't answer harris's questions honestly without trying (and failing) to be funny in his response. (this was the same guy who gave greg the finger)
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
The newest episode with Ben Schwartz, Reggie Watts, and Bjork is going to get me fired from my job. Pretty sure of it.
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
I love Matt Besser as Bjork, top 5 show characters. Bjork ripping off Adele song killed me.
Here be my list:
1) Bob Ducca
2) Dom DiMello (sp?)
3) If I have to pick just one PFT character, I guess Cakeboss
4) Bjork
5) Bill CosbyBukowski
6th Runner up: Jack Sjunior and Bryan Pieces

Told my wife, in front of my 2 year old, that Björk told Ben that he had so much "c" in his "a" that he could get a girl pregnant if he would "f" in her "p" and she liked that.
I think I have to listen over again, very soon. Also, "Pulled Björk" is the best.
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
Such a good episode.
When Bjork put Ben in confrontation corner about the airport confrontation, I felt like I was so cool because I was in on this trans-podcast joke.
A lot of my emotional self-worth comes from getting jokes.

In case anyone forgot how amazing Nick Kroll is:

Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
It's so great to see Besser bring back a character. It only adds to my joy that it happened to be Bjork.
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
I love Ben Schwartz on Shameless.
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
I have a Recury fanart request -
A valentine from Ben Schwartz to Emmy Rossum. Like a giant heart with each of their faces in it or what-have-you.
Thank you.
Re: Scott Aukerman will start Comedy Bang Bang on the Web
I greatly enjoyed this new episode with Greg Proops, Ice-T, and Jesse Ventura. It's a great example of "standard" Comedy Bang Bang, if that's actually a thing. You know what I mean.
