Maybe NBC will pull a few strings and allow Zach Woods to make appearances on SNL as Paul Ryan.
The resemblance is kind of uncanny, no?
Otherwise, I would say Bill for sure, not Taran.

One of my friends on tumblr mentioned the Zach Woods resemblance, pretty hard to unsee now! Maybe they'll at least make reference to it on The Office this season.
Also some sad news, they just announced today that Abby is leaving the show. Too bad, I was hoping she'd get a chance to do more now that Kristen left.
Here's an article for anyone (like me) who wanted some proof:

Abby Elliot leaves SNL?
Kind of stupid seeing as she would probably get more airtime now that Wiig has left.
"She walked out of the room using that pretty ass I mentioned earlier to propel herself forward. I felt like my dick had been kicked up into my mouth, making me throw up from having a dick in my mouth"
Yeah, I have said this before, but I would almost have preferred Nasim to leave rather than Abby. I think Vanessa, Abby, and Kate would have been a good trio of women on the show, with 2 new female featured players maybe (Elaine Carroll or Lauren Lapkus or Amy Phillips).
Nasim's a fine actress, and she's never really done anything bad on the show (although I really didn't like that child psychologist sketch), but I don't really find her all that funny.
Whereas I thought Abby had been making some strides lately with stuff like the "What is This?" game show sketch late last season and the "Assistant" web series this summer. She seemed to be making more effort to doing more character stuff rather than just impressions.
There are rumors going around that Kate is not coming back either, which would be really strange. I can't imagine they'd want to go into next season with only 2 women on the show.
So, wait, did she say she was voluntarily leaving? or did she get let go? Don't you have to sign a 7 year contract or something?

In vaguest terms possible - I have insidery information* that a BUNCH of Chicago people have also had a few auditions now for Lorne and others in both Chicago and NYC. I doubt all new cast members will be from LA. Probably a mix. And I wouldn't be surprised if more than two new people are hired. Abby's gone now and Sudeikis may be gone as well. Then after this season we'll likely also lose Bill, Fred, and Kenan, and possibly Seth, opening up the Head Writer position (Mulaney! Mulaney!). That's a lot of turnover, and the time to bring in the new blood is now so there can still be some overlap in this changing of the guard. However, I feel pretty good about the show being anchored around Bobby, Taran, Vanessa, Nasim, Kate, et al. And Jay will probably stick around forever, even further cementing his status as "New Darrell Hammond", except without the severe depression, and it being less offensive if he were to play Jesse Jackson.

VH1 suggests 5 people SNL could hire for next season
Interestingly, 3 of them have already been suggested here, and one other (Paul Downs) is part of that "Above Average" channel. The only one I haven't heard of is Sasheer Zamata.
I heard Tony Cavalero had a good audition earlier this year. He also did great at Just For Laughs New Faces character showcase. He'd be a really interesting pick.

Having seen Sasheer perform a bunch, I can easily say, she would be great on the show. Remember her name, cause you'll see it again Brasky!

For the first time in forever, I can contribute something that isn't just a plug or "that thing was great".
Josh Patten just got hired as a Weekend Update writer on SNL. Super-funny UCBNY performer and all-around friendly dude. Probably could not have happened to a nicer guy.

I've heard the names of a few Second City folks that were flown up. Have not yet heard if any will be hired.

The first three hosts for the season have been announced:
http://www.deadline.com/2012/08/seth...ason-premiere/
September 15th- Seth MacFarlane/Frank Ocean
September 22nd- Joseph Gordon Levitt/Mumford & Sons
October 6th- Daniel Craig/Muse
MacFarlane's a really odd host choice, especially for a season premiere. Daniel Craig should be a fun show though.
