Hey, this is FUNNY! Did Abby write this? If so, why doesn't she do this kind of stuff on SNL?
This is like something her dad would do! It's awesome! Great Jim Downey cameo too.
I'm hopeful that Abby's going to continue to get better and weirder in the next few seasons on SNL, I think her biggest problem so far has simply been the fact she was way too young and inexperienced when she was first cast. Except for maybe Eddie Murphy, I can't think of anyone on SNL doing their best work before the age of 25.
I think she's been unfairly pigeonholed by the show as simply an impressionist. And once you're categorized an "just an impressionist", you'd better specialize in presidents and other alpha males, otherwise you're going to be somewhat marginalized (unless Joan Cusack or Anna Faris get put on trial for murder soon or Brittany Murphy rises from the dead again). The former Groundlings will get the rare meaty character roles, and she'll only be put in non-impression sketches when Taylor Lautner needs an age-appropriate looking girlfriend or they need a fourth girl for the four-girl singing group.
She wrote it with Sarah Schneider.

I just realized that the line in The Real Housewives of Disney, "At least I'm not married to a Beast" "His name is Kelsey Grammer!" is doubly funny, because not only was Kelsey Grammer married to one of the Real Housewives ladies, and was supposedly a "beast" in their relationship, but he also played "Beast" in the X-Men movie.
I remember reading at the time on some of the SNL newsgroups and boards that he hit on someone inappropriately at an SNL after-party, or something like that? Who knows if that's true, but his departure was pretty abrupt.
It actually occurred at around the same time during the season as Paul Brittain being fired, which seemed a little suspicious too. Lorne usually doesn't seem too cool with letting people go from their contract, unless there's really a serious issue and the person needs to be gone immediately.
They said with the Paul Brittain thing it was mutual right? Lorne seemed like he was gonna fire him at end of season anyway and he wasnt really being used in any sketches. I noticed him in the background in the final episode. If there was any bad blood he wouldnt have been there
True, and he is going to be in "Grown Ups 2" along with Taran Killam, so it seems like he is still friends with everybody.
Guess they must have taken a new cast photo before the end of the season, with Brittain gone and McKinnon added:

Nah, I think they just photoshopped her face onto his body.
Actually, everybody looks photoshopped into that picture. There's something really weird about it, looks like none of them were in the same room together.
Hey, I guess Kristen Wiig is staying after all! Alright!
I know he wasn't a cast member, but here's a rare promo for Wild and Crazy Guy Steve Martin made around his SNL glory days.

Hey, I'm bored so I tried to make a list of what I think are the best SNL episodes of all time.
Here is what I came up with, see if you agree:
1) Steve Martin / The Blues Brothers (04/22/78)- Festrunk Brothers, Theodoric of York, Dancing in the
Dark, King Tut, Nerds Science Fair, Next Week in Review
2) Eddie Murphy/Robert Plant & The Honeydrippers (12/15/84)- White Like Me, Mr. Robinson,
Milestones, Buckwheat, Gumby, Black History Minute
3) William Shatner/Lone Justice (12/20/86)- Star Trek Convention, Sweeney Sisters, T.J. Hooker, Star
Trek Revolving Restaurant, Lost Ending to "It's A Wonderful Life"
4) Jerry Seinfeld/Annie Lennox (4/18/92)- Stand Up and Win, History Teacher, Elijah the Prophet,
Superman
5) Alec Baldwin/Paul McCartney (2/13/93)- Mimic, Chris Farley Show, Soap Opera Minute, Red Hooded
Sweatshirt, French Class
6) Jim Carrey / Soundgarden (05/18/96)- Roxbury Guys, Lifeguard, I'll See You In Hell, Joe Pesci Show,
Jimmy Tango's Fat Busters
7) Christopher Walken/Christina Aguilera (4/8/00)- Blue Oyster Cult, Continental, Jenny Jones, Census
Taker
8) Jack Black/Neil Young (12/17/05)- King Kong song, Sbarro, Christmas Time for the Jews, Lazy
Sunday, Two AHoles Buying a Christmas Tree, Spelling Bee
9) Justin Timberlake (12/16/06) - Santa's My Boyfriend, Homelessville, Target, Dick in a Box, Barry Gibb
Talk Show
10) Jon Hamm / Coldplay (10/25/08)- Jeff Montgomery (Forte's trick or treating sex offender), MAd Men Aholes sketch, Don Draper's Guide to Picking Up Women, Vincent Price Halloween special, Jon Hamm's John Ham
Thoughts?
This is a fascinating idea that will probably infuriate many of us because lists usually stink, but it should spur discussion which is the fun part. Still, the fact that I remember all of the episodes listed for one reason or another is a good sign. Plus, we usually discuss favorite sketches and not whole episodes.
Now I have to go back and really go through the episodes for each season to see if I can add any to your list.
Fun idea, Brasky.
I would add this one for sure:
Conan O'Brien/Don Henley - 3/10/01 - Moleculo, Napster Hearings, Sportscentury: James "The Gentleman Masher" Corcoran, Taintless Ted
I also would like to add "Tom Hanks/ Keith Richards", from 10/08/88. Some of the stuff they did on that show was amazing.
