I definitely think she'll host again, I just don't see it being a season finale.

Hey, Abby just tweeted this, guess we know what we have to look forward to this weekend:

That's the mom, right? She looks like Anna Farris. Perhaps poor lighting is the way to go.
I think this was just for some E! upfront event, so false alarm.
Ladies and gentlemen, a 12-year-old Taran Killam! (That's him in the car)
Dave Koechner posted his update sketch as Gary MacDonald, Norm's brother, to his twitter earlier. I forgot how funny this was: http://www.hulu.com/watch/271277/sat...-norms-brother
It's also similar to the Nephew Kyle character from Norm's 'Sports Show'.
David Koechner's "executioner sketch" as Gerald "T-Bones" Tibbons with Christopher Walken -- which has only been available online in transcript form for years -- is also finally available on Hulu: http://www.hulu.com/watch/285833/sat...?from=fb_share
"Don't go chasin dem waterfalls ..."
Good call on Jokey. He said on twitter that was actually the Gary MacDonald character name.
Also, I found another Gary MacDonald sketch. Gary at work: http://www.hulu.com/watch/285283/sat...donald-at-work
Really glad these are finally available! Koechner and Pete Holmes were just discussing the Gary MacDonald/Jokey character on "You Made It Weird" last week and it really made me wanna see these again.
Used to love whenever he did Norm's brother Gary on SNL but could never find these for all these years and they were always removed from the Comedy Central edited down reruns. How the heck did Koechner only last one season on SNL, he was fucking great!

Season finale - Mick Jagger as host and musical guest
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...may-19/132245/
All signs point to this being a "farewell to a lot of cast members" kind of show. By picking Jagger as the host/musical guest, it seems like they are trying to pick someone who won't steal focus and probably won't really do a lot during the show (barring some good musical performances, I'm sure). This will allow Jason, Kristen, and Andy to trot out all their recurring characters one last time (I'm sure a final A-hole sketch will be one of the sketches).
If Fred and Kenan leave at the end of the season too, it will really be an "end of an era" type of thing. I think Bill will probably stay at least one more season though.
I'm pretty excited about the idea of a huge cast turnover. I've never really gotten into the recent seasons of SNL (while still thinking that the individuals involved are really funny people), so I'd love to jump back on with a new crew.

It is pretty exciting. The show has been in a little bit of a rut the last 6-7 years; the last time there was a really major cast turnover was in '05-'06 when Kristen, Jason, Andy, and Bill all joined the cast at the same time. Since then people have come in and out but the main cast has remained pretty much the same.
It was a little exciting in 2010 when Taran, Jay, Vanessa, and Paul were all hired at the same time; unfortunately Paul didn't really pan out and Jay has been less than wonderful after a fairly promising start.
I think a core cast of Bill, Bobby, Taran, Jay, Abby, Vanessa, and Nasim would be pretty good though. It will be interesting to see if they are going to be able to hire new people directly as full time cast members, without making them wait 2 years as featured players first. I'm pretty sure Tracy Morgan was the last cast member to do that, a long time ago. Several cast members like Maya Rudolph, Will Forte, and Kristen Wiig spent a very small amount of time as a FP before quickly becoming a full cast member though. It's been a while since there has been a FP with that immediate "star quality". (The fact that the older cast members have been hanging around so long has meant that the FPs also haven't had as much chance to shine too).
But they may have to change this policy out of necessity next season.
"Yeah...I'm gonna need more balls."
We'll just take the fact that this was too long and that you didn't read it...as read.
