Yeah, I think the next several seasons will be the Taran and Bobby Moynihan show, and I'm not mad at it.

I agree about Taran, but I'm not really sure about Bobby. It seems like he is always funnier outside of SNL (like on CBB and in the Derrick Comedy stuff) than he is on the show. On SNL it seems like they kind of box him into annoying roles a lot of the time, like that sketch about the woman accosting Tom Brady. Impersonations aren't really his strong suit either, he wasn't even trying with the Newt Gingrich voice.
I feel like early on when he first started on the show he had a lot of air time, like with the Unos sketch and the Of Mice and Men sketch, but not really so much his last couple of seasons on the show.
I guess they will keep him, especially now that Paul Brittain is gone, but I don't know about him being the future of the show.
Drunk Uncle.
I rest my case.
I laughed a lot this week even though they weren't so many conceptual/"timeless" sketches. I feel like the writers have done a better job lately getting in more jokes. There seems to be less wasted expositional dialogue even in sketches that aren't all that original. That helps me enjoy a show when something like THe Zooey Deschanel show seems like a dud but has some funny or odd references.
Also, agree with Brasky on Bobby Moynihan. I still laugh at his CBB appearance as Fagin Platt but on SNL there is less room for him to be funny except WU. Hopefully they can get him some better, "deeper" (I realize this is a sketch show) characters to play.
I've always enjoyed Anthony Crispino and his reliable sources.
I have four words for you all:

SNL is reportedly still auditioning and considering adding new people to the cast:
http://splitsider.com/2012/02/snl-lo...is-week-in-nyc
Also, here are the Maya Rudolph promos:
From that article Brasky linked:
Anyone know this lineup? Did it include James Adomian and/or Jet Eveleth?Earlier this week at The PIT, about a dozen people auditioned for Lorne Michaels, Seth Meyers, and other producers of the show. The lineup included local performers from major NYC theaters such as UCB as well as folks flown in from Chicago and LA.
A while back, James replied to a tweet that I sent him and said that "after auditioning for SNL twice, I kind of got the point and I am now only offer-only", so take that for whatever it's worth.
Speaking of Adomian, when was the last time SNL had an openly-gay cast member?
Is Jay Pharoah out? Because the only reasonable explanation for him still being in the cast is that he's fucking Lorne Michaels.
Comedy is funny!
The serious answer is Terry Sweeney in the '85-'86 season. I believe that Danitra Vance, who is now deceased, was a lesbian as well, I don't know how "open" she was about it.
Guys- please only post names of people we don't like, otherwise this is very offensive.
At this point I doubt if Fred Armisen could do a convincing Fred Armisen impression.
Who was Abby supposed to be in the "What Up With That" sketch? Debbie Gibson from the "Electric Youth" video?
