Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast

I know, I know, what the world really needs is yet another podcast, but any fans of British comedy will surely want to check this one out:

The Podfather (The Guardian), reluctant 'King of Edinburgh' and two time and only Chortle Internet Award winner Richard Herring brings his Edinburgh Fringe podcast south for a more leisurely weekly show in which he chats with some of the biggest names in comedy, with guest spots from some of the hot new comics you might not have heard of.

I haven't listened yet but the lineup for the first series is top-notch:

    Episode 1- Tim Minchin
    Episode 2- Jonathan Ross
    Episode 3- Francesca Martinez
    Episode 4- Charlie Higson
    Episode 5- Charlie Brooker
    Episode 6- Nick Frost
    Episode 7- David Baddiel
Episode 8- Stewart Lee (this episode is surely interesting, as a Lee and Herring reunion)
    Episode 9- Armando Iannucci

Looks like the recordings for the 2nd series have started and the first episode with Rob Delaney is up in Itunes. The next episode should feature Peter Serafinowicz. Other guests this series- Reece Sheersmith and Steve Pemberton from The League of Gentlemen/Psychoville, David Mitchell, Dave Gorman, and Russell Howard.

Graham Linehan is in an episode too, doubled up with someone else. I think it may have been the Iannucci one,

I attended a taping of one of his Edinburgh podcasts a few weeks ago and it was great fun! It was actually more enjoyable than his current stand-up show, Talking Cock. My expectations were probably too high though, because I had enjoyed his other shows on DVD so much.
