Re: Pilot Season 2010-2011
Some more info, from The Futon Critic:
THE STRIP (NBC) - Dave Holmes and "Reno 911!" alums Natasha Leggero and Cedric Yarbrough have joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about "a former child star (Thomas Lennon), who owns a Hooters-type restaurant in a strip mall on the outskirts of Las Vegas." Leggero will play Natasha, a party-girl waitress, with Yarbrough as Mr. Maurice, one of the bar's regulars, and Holmes as Dave, the very gay owner of the strip mall's Christian Bookstore. Robert Ben Garant also stars in the half-hour, which he co-wrote with Lennon. Principato-Young Entertainment and Universal Media Studios are co-producing. Also: UNTITLED IRS PROJECT (FOX) - David Krumholtz ("NUMB3RS") has booked the lead role on the pilot, a workplace comedy set at an Internal Revenue Service district office. He'll play Spencer Krattaville, "a proud auditor of the IRS who is hounded constantly by his boss." Said role is in second position to a potential seventh season of "NUMB3RS." Brent Forrester penned the half-hour, which is set up at 20th Century Fox Television and Ron Howard's Imagine Television. and UNTITLED ADAM CAROLLA PROJECT (NBC) - Ashley Williams and Shanley Caswell have each joined the cast of the comedy pilot, which stars Carolla as "a contractor who embarks on rebuilding his life after a divorce." The former will play Judith Arkowitz, Adam's divorced landlady/friend, with Caswell as Adam's teenage daughter Lucy. Carolla, Jon Pollack and Kevin Hench are behind the half-hour, which comes from BermanBraun, Jackhole Industries and Universal Media Studios. |

Re: Pilot Season 2010-2011
It's funny that Dave Holmes was so worried about auditioning for this series, because it looks like Tom & Ben are using as much push as they have to pack the cast with "Reno 911" people. Cedric Yarborough; Natasha Leggero who played the mayor's wife on Reno; and Carrie Wiita who was the carwash girl. Andrea Savage was surprisingly never on Reno 911, but I'm sure she knows everybody through being on "Dog Bites Man" on Comedy Central.

Ben Garant's post on Facebook says Amanda so I went with it. Googled it, found nothing. I assumed it was Andrea as well, but figured if anyone would know it would be someone in charge of the show.. so I didn't change it.

Re: Pilot Season 2010-2011
Fox is close to greenlighting a comedy pilot starring "Arrested Development" alum Will Arnett, reports Variety. Arnett wrote the project with "Arrested's" Mitch Hurwitz and Jim Vallely.
Lionsgate recently came on board to finance and produce the show. Once Lionsgate is officially on board, Fox is expected to pick the show up to pilot. The comedy stars Arnett as a wealthy Beverly Hills man who winds up falling for a woman who can't stand his obnoxious ways. Hurwitz and Vallely will executive produce with Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, as well as Peter Principato and Paul Young. Vallely and Hurwitz are also writing the long-awaited Arrested Development movie, in which Arnett would revive his role as Gob Bluth. |

Re: Pilot Season 2010-2011
BRICKLEBERRY PARK (FOX, New!) - Waco O'Guin and Roger Black ("Stankervision") have booked a pilot presentation order from the network for a new animated comedy about "a group of forest rangers at a declining park that's about to be shut down." Dave Herman ("Office Space"), Tom Kenny ("Spongebob SquarePants") and Carlos Alazraqui ("Reno 911") have already signed on to voice the project, with Herman as a new ranger who's brought in to shape the place up. O'Guin and Black penned the half-hour, which Eric Kaplan ("The Big Bang Theory") is supervising. 20th Century Fox Television and its alternative arm, Fox 21, are co-producing.

Re: Pilot Season 2010-2011
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - It's "Happy Endings" for "Saturday Night Live" alumna Casey Wilson, who landed a lead in the ABC comedy pilot almost six months after her ouster from NBC's late-night program.
"Endings" revolves around a couple who, after breaking up at the altar, must figure out how they and their four friends can maintain their relationship. Wilson will play one of the friends, who is bitterly single. Damon Wayans Jr. was recently cast as another friend. Wilson, who joined "SNL" in 2008 after the Hollywood writers strike, was cut loose last September. She recently landed a role in TV Land's pilot "Retired at 35." |

Re: Pilot Season 2010-2011
TEAM SPITZ (CBS) - Bob Odenkirk ("Breaking Bad") has landed a role on the comedy pilot, which "stars Rob Riggle as the bombastic new basketball coach at an upscale private school." He'll apparently play Charles Kersey, the "nervous and flop-sweaty" principal of the school. Bill Martin and Mike Schiff are behind the half-hour, a co-production of CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television.

Re: Pilot Season 2010-2011
Yeah, pretty much everyone on the show except Portia de Rossi has booked another pilot for next season. The articles always say "The pilot is considered in second position to a third season of 'Better Off Ted'", but I haven't seen any indication that that's likely.

Re: Pilot Season 2010-2011
UNTITLED ANT HINES/LARRY CHARLES PROJECT (CBS) - Jason Mantzoukas ("I Hate Valentine's Day") and Matt Walsh ("Players") have each landed roles on the comedy presentation, about a dad (Paul Kaye) who re-enters the life of his now-famous daughter. Details about their characters however weren't specified. Nicollette Sheridan and Wayne Knight also star in the half-hour, which comes from writer Ant Hines and director Larry Charles. Sony Pictures Television-based Tantamount is producing.
