that was a great speech!

i don't have much to add except telling everybody that i'm still in pseduo-shock from patton's show on wednesday. there was no one else i looked forward to seeing (band and comedian) more and with such expectations i wouldn't have been disappointed if those were crushed but holy shit holy shit he was great. i love the new bits so much.

I was at the Wednesday show, too! So happy to finally see Patton do a full hour. (Five years ago I got to see him do a short set at UCB L.A.)

I was also pleasantly surprised to see Myq Kaplan open up.

I guess I just found it more frustrating than inspiring. If you already have a massive fanbase then yes you can cut out the "gatekeepers". The rest of us still need to be lucky.
