OK, last night's American Dad blew me away, if only for the tour-de-force performance of Steve Smith and his storyline about the cat. The little dream segment with him and the cat being separated made me cry; and the part about the cat constantly attacking him was hilarious. "JERK CAT! SON OF A WHORE!!" and "WHAT IS THE LESSON HERE!!??" was fucking great.
THAT BEING SAID... holy shit, Seth MacFarlane what is up with the fucking RAPE JOKES on Family Guy?? I really want to ask him about this. Seriously. This week was the worst one yet; actually showing a man trying to rape a woman while they make another lameass Aquaman-is-useless joke. Every week there are rape jokes, and they are not even jokes. Can someone talk to him about this? Anyone? Give him my number, tell him to call me? This needs to be straightened out. For reals.
What the fuck, Seth.
Good eye, Darryl!
Variety says that ABC has expressed interest in "King of the Hill," which Fox last week opted not to renew beyond its current 13th season.
"King of the Hill" would make a strong companion to the ABC's upcoming animated comedy "The Goode Family," which comes from "King of the Hill" executive producers Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky.
Other potential homes for the show include Comedy Central, FX and Cartoon Network. But the series, which would be entering its 14th season, is believed to be too expensive for a cable channel at this point in its run.
Given the lengthy lead time on animated projects, the 14th season of "King" probably wouldn't be available to ABC until late 2009 or early 2010.
I don't believe this has been posted anywhere else... but either the Henson Company or Disney has produced a series of new Muppet web shorts. They're posted on YouTube under the guise of the characters themselves, and harken back to the original charm and simplicity of the Muppet Show. This first one is the Swedish Chef and Beaker singing the Habanera from Carmen entirely in Meeps and Borks. If you click on the Chef's user page, the other characters are under 'subscriptions'.

I remember a weird parody of a promo crawl on Family Guy with Quagmire trying rather violently to force himself on Marge Simpson. Then it became some strange thing where he murdered the whole Simpsons family, as I recall.
Among the things I hate about Seth McFarlane is that (if I'm allowed to judge him as a human being based on tendencies I've noticed in the jokes on his animated sitcom) he seems to be a huge misogynist. I bet he's lousy in the sack too. And he gets to have sex with Eliza Dushku. Son of a bitch.
He does seem to have anger towards women. I know it's an equal opportunity offensive show, but damn.
I thought McFarlane was going out with Amanda Bynes.
From Variety:
20th Century Fox is moving forward with a big screen adaptation of Gulliver's Travels, with Jack Black taking on the title role as his next project, says Variety.
Rob Letterman (Shark Tale) has signed on to direct the contemporary reimagining of the classic Jonathan Swift tale.
The story centers on Lemuel Gulliver, a free-spirited travel writer who, on an assignment to the Bermuda Triangle, suddenly finds himself a giant among men when he washes ashore on the hidden island of Lilliput, home to a population of industrious, yet tiny, people.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller and Joe Stillman (Shrek) wrote the screenplay.
Shooting will start in March.
I thought Seth MacFarlane was married to Dakota Fanning.
Yeah, after he divorced Jamie Lynn Spears nine years ago.
I'm being serious, Google "Seth McFarlane and Amanda Bynes" and you'll see I'm not making it up. And your jokes would be a little funnier if she was still 12 like you apparently think she is, and not 22.
This was on Goldstar events today:

The guy barely missed being killed on 9/11.
It entitles him to all the jailbait he wants.
Why is she jailbait? She got warrants?
My point (and 'tron's too) is that Bynes ain't jailbait.
But you know what, you're right, it is a little creepy.
