Try to get someone who ponied up the 200 bucks, & then have Jimmy call them from 3 feet away.

I just watched that happen (thanks to the miracle of Tivo) and it was neat.
Also neat: she was apparently tweeting between the rounds.

sidenote on Jonah Ray episode: rewatched the pilot starring Rachel Quaintance, created by her hubby, also starring Jimmy and
Danielle, aaaaaaaaaaaand "Ted Beneke":

Episode 1106 - 7.30.12
Getting real with Tami Sagher.
Boo to the news about the pilot. I was really hopeful that would get picked up.
I obviously have nothing interesting to add to this conversation.
Hey remember when Graham Elwood was on Ep 1 of Season 11? You've forgotten already? Oh well, use the handy show notes to refresh your memory. Spoiler: A new Abuse-o-meter has been implemented to indicate the amount and target of (fake) abuse dished out by Jimmy.
Episode 1107 - 8.6.12
Calling it with Phil Hendrie.
This episode has sent me on a Phil Hendrie spree: listening/buying whatever I can get ahold of. A true national treasure, that Hendrie!
There are only two people whose output I have saved so much of, I needed to purchase a dedicated external hard drive just for their files: Phil Hendrie and Jimmy Pardo. Pretty surreal to hear a conversation between them. I'm off to find a RealAudio player so I can listen to my pre-2000 Phil again...
It was a mess of a bet, but there's no way that Matt Belknap owes Jimmy any money. They (you?) both owe Mr. Braunger.
Oh also I loved this episode so much. Phil Hendrie was fantastic.

I'd like to hear more about your ideas. (Actually, even if I did owe Jimmy $10, I just won it back on a peanut-throwing contest, so no worries.)
You were giving 2-1 odds to both Jimmy and Braunger, meaning if either of them won, you'd give 20 to the winner, but if you won, they'd each owe you ten. The American won, so you and Jimmy each owe Braunger money. I hope I'm not remembering this wrong, but it was just a bet to see whose person won. Who finished highest after that didn't matter. You and Jimmy would only exchange money if the American didn't win.

Well hey! Lookee here! It's the long-lost show notes from Episode 1102 with Tommy Johnagin!
And in case you haven't seen it yet, there's some new technology for season 11: The Pardo Abuse-O-Meter is cranked up and running!

The bet:
Pardo: Alright listen - how about this:
Belknap: 10 bucks
Pardo: Well, no, you have the field.
Belknap: What are you saying?
Pardo: You gotta pay us 20, we pay you 10.
Belknap: Oh… What?
Braunger: That sounds fair.
Belknap: Huh?
Pardo: If the field… if one of us wins
Belknap: Yeah
Pardo: You have to pay us 20
Belknap: Each?
Braunger: No, no, 10 each.
Pardo: Chinaman wins, you pay me 20
Belknap: Wait a minute, now what do you pay? Each of us… he pays you ten and I pay you 20 if you win?
Pardo: Pardon. Wait, he and I have to have a different bet than you.
Belknap: This is the problem, it's a three way bet.
Braunger: Yeah.
Belknap: It's confusing.
Braunger: It is confusing.
Pardo: Alright, he and I…
Belknap: I think we can do it, though.
Pardo: We have a separate bet from you. The bet with you is, it's 2-1 odds. You have the field.
Belknap: right.
Pardo: At ten dollars.
Belknap: I have two bets going.
Pardo: That's correct.
Belknap: We all have two bets going.
Pardo: The most you could lose is $40. No, wrong abort.
Belknap: 20. Wait a minute, I only have to
Pardo: You're only betting me, you're betting us separately.
Belknap: Right. I'm betting you 20 to 10
Pardo: If chinaman wins
Braunger: Chinawoman
Pardo: If the oriental lady wins
Belknap: Yeah.
Pardo: You owe me $20.
Belknap: If she wins I owe you $20. And I wouldn't owe you (Braunger) anything. Because that's over.
Pardo: That's correct.
Belknap: If California Dreamin' wins
Pardo: Yes.
Belknap: I owe you 20
Pardo: And you owe me nothing.
Belknap: And I owe you nothing.
Pardo: If the field wins, we each owe you 10.
Belknap: Everybody gets 20 no matter what.
Pardo: And then we've got to come up with a bet for us.(with Braunger)

Boy, they really hustled Matt. 2 to 1 with them getting the heavy favourites.
