I started podcasting The Sound of Young America in December 2004. And I totally subscribe to AST Radio as soon as Matt started it - and NNF, too. Been a subscriber ever since.

I think everyone tends to mark the start of podcast time by when they became aware of it. IIRC, Nathan mentioned he'd come in relatively recently in the piece.

My first NNF was a season 2 Graham Elwood episode, and I was so confused the whole time because Graham kept yelling "heeeeyyyy gun!" "shooter!!!" "gunne sax!!" every two seconds and I had no idea what was going on.

The councilman from Jimmy's story is my councilman and also one of my favorite LA weirdos. A few years ago during the Griffith Park fire, he showed up on every local news station in tears over what was happening. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for his wackiness. Also, he sends his consitituents a calendar of his personal pics every year so that's pretty neat. What I'm saying is, if this goes to court I'm testifying on Councilman Freight Train's behalf.

I could have sworn they talked about this on the show about Van Halen canceling shows. Not sure that would count anyhow.

Yeah I remember there being talk of canceled shows, unless that was about a past tour.

(totally not worth it) Ya they were talking about the current tour. VH had "postponed" the shows at that time, saying they needed more rest to make the tour great. They now have since canceled the tour.

I'm 100% on board with any miscellaneous items that have NNF's classy logo. Would it be in poor taste to request to beverage glass? I'm tired of putting mixed drinks in my water bottle...
