...are these worth owning? I've heard a little of him here and there, and enjoy it - but 7 comedy albums for sale on iTunes? And according to his Wikipedia page, a bunch more.
Which of his albums should I start off with if I had to choose one?

Great Phone Calls has some hilarious prank calls on it. I haven't heard much else.
I personally am a huge fan of Neil Hamburger Sings Country Winners, but that's not quite a comedy album. I mean, I guess it is, but I didn't laugh too much. The songs are really great, though. I got it on vinyl, one of the greatest purchases ever.
I think his stuff on the Comedy Death Ray CD is one of the better looks at what his live act is actually like, and seems closer to the character than the in-studio stuff.
things are iffy.
I tried to listen to his albums, and the only one I really enjoyed was "Hot February Night". It's the one that is most like his track on the Comedy Death Ray CD. Everything else seemed to fall under the category not of "so bad it's good", but just "bad".

I think I have about 6 with Neil.
Hamburger is the greatest. Get all those CDs (or vinyl is fine, too) and track down the DVD of one of his greyhound racing park appearances.
