I finally have my shit together enough to draw comics on a semi-regular basis.
I would like to know what everyone thinks of this comic:

I guess that's the end of Early Conan.
I enjoyed it while it lasted.
Pay it forward.
Note: I have never even seen all of Pay it Forward, JUST this scene.
The reason I asked about this comic specifically was because I got done drawing it and I realized that I just drew Conan O'Brien, a real person, getting stabbed, and I didn't really think about that at all until I was done. Did anybody here find this comic off-putting or weird in that way when they read it the first time? I'd like to know!

It's not off-putting when you consider that stabbing Conan only makes him stronger, if that's really true.
if you can take a joke, you should be able to take a shiv
More early Conan is what I say.
I never saw Pay it Forward, so I thought you were either ending the strip forever, or stating your intention to stab Conan O'Brien if you ever get close enough to him.
Early Andy would never even think such a thing! You take that back.
that's really conan and he's really dead![]()
visually it's very awesome, as for the content, not so much. i didn't really see the joke.
i thought conan was inspired by the recent batman film "the dark knight" to take the law into his own hands with unsavory results.

dude, in case you didn't notice, a LOT of early conan comics don't have any jokes in them.i didn't really see the joke.
But anyway it's a reference to the movie PAY IT FORWARD, but it's also meant to just double as throw-away weirdness for anybody who doesn't recognize it.
Anyway, I mostly wanted feedback just to make sure I wasn't be a creep for drawing a real person get stabbed. I thought it was hysterical when I drew it, but like I said when I finished and actually looked at it it felt really insensitive. It's one thing to skeletize a real celebrity in a matter of hours because they are "sick" because that's just silliness, and there IS a joke here. Here there really isn't a joke, you're right, unless you count a movie reference as a joke...
Thanks for helping me with my moral dilemma, everyone. Keep chiming in if you want.
