I'm too lazy for a proper review, but "The Promotion" is the freshest and funniest film I've seen since "The Ten".
It stars John C. Reilly, Sean William Scott, Fred Armisen, Jenna Fischer. Here, just watch the trailer...
Anyone else seen it and second my recommendation?

I've seen it, but i dont second the recommendation. It's not a terrible movie by any means, but fresh and funny didnt really come to mind during its 80 min runtime.
I really liked it a lot. It's not a laugh-out-loud, wacky comedy; it's very much a black comedy/drama in the same vein as "The Weather Man" (which was written by the same screenwriter, Steve Conrad). There were scenes that were very funny though, particularly the work retreat scene with Jason Bateman. John C. Reilly was as good in this as he was in "Walk Hard", and Seann William Scott gave the best performance I've ever seen from him.
It's one of the few movies I've seen this year where I walked out of it thinking, "Wow, that was a really good movie". Most comedies, you watch them and laugh; they have a handful of funny scenes but ultimately aren't really gripping emotionally or don't really have a good story that stays with you, but this is actually a very well-written, well-directed film.
The other movie I would say that about was "The Foot Fist Way"; it's kind of ironic that the two best movies I've seen this year got the smallest releases.
If you thought that Baby Mama was hilarious but it moved a little too fast and there was too much plot, then this is the perfect movie for you.
I was a big fan of the weather man, so maybe I was just underwhelmed by this one. Its kind of a cute little movie or whatever, but its hardly a good comedy or one of the year's best.
I saw it too, also thought it was great. I worked at a grocery store for many years so I enjoyed it on that level. It was low key and kind of mean spirited, but I like that kind of stuff.
This movie has a much better story than "Baby Mama". I liked parts of "Baby Mama", but I felt near the end it just became a typical cliche' romantic comedy about a woman having a baby that we've all seen a million times before.
This movie continually went in weird directions that you couldn't anticipate or expect.
I think if you go in expecting to laugh continuously through the whole movie, yes, you're going to be disappointed, but as a dramedy I thought it was very good.
I saw this at SXSW. It just didn't click.
Reilly is really funny, Scott is not.
I loved Weatherman, but the comedy in this was really forced and pretty poorly delivered for the most part. It could have probably been punched up and directed a little differently and turned out a really great movie, but I guess you could say that about a lot of movies.
Just hate it when they have potential.
