Mazo's "Pervert" and Barry's "From Heaven" - poor quality recordings?

Just bought Phil Mazo's "Pervert" and Todd Barry's "From Heaven" off iTunes. "From Heaven" has an annoying humming sound in the background throughout the album, and "Pervert" sounds like it's a bootleg (seriously).

Is it an iTunes issue? Or some freak problem I'm having? Or do they really just record shit quality like this and sell it to stupid people like me?

I've never noticed anything wrong with "From Heaven." But I bought the physical copy.

I have a physical copy of From Heaven as well and haven't noticed the humming sound. Listening to the clips in the iTunes store, I haven't noticed the background hum, either.

I have a physical copy of "From Heaven" and I don't recall hearing a hum when I listened to it on shitty headphones. BUT I just re-listened to it on better headphones and I do hear a faint buzzing. To me, though, it's mostly unnoticeable while he is talking or the audience is laughing (which is most of the time) so I don't really find it distracting. You may have better ears than me.

Cool, thanks for the info guys. My copy of "From Heaven" has a definite buzzing, even on the crappy speakers in my car or on my Macbook. I'm guessing it's an iTunes related issue.
