This would have been a day 1 buy for me just based on what I know of James' character work on CBB, not having had much chance to hear his standup. But he toured through my obscure city of Ottawa recently, and performed at an underpromoted show like it was any of the sold-out cities he's hitting with the CBB tour -- and I was really blown away with his comedic POV.

Since then, saw him twice at Just For Laughs - once on a Canadian comedy show called "The Debaters", debating Andy Kindler about the merits of Las Vegas, and once at Andy Kindler's show closing Alternative Comedy showcase, where he killed as the Sheriff of Nottingham. Three shows in a week, three different formats/types of comedy, and he was among the highlights of all of them.

So yeah, even if I didn't know it before, he is a great well-rounded comic, and I would bet his star is going to rise over the year to come. Can't wait for the release.

Picked this up at the Comedy Bang Bang live performance and listened to it today. Great CD from an awesome performer. PURCHASE IT, EVERYONE!

Just bought my copy! Felt bad that I couldn't contribute to it showing up on something like the iTunes charts like Telfer's, but I understand what's going on vis-a-vis the substantial cut Apple takes.

It just occurred to me that this is a new line of business for Earwolf, wondering if there's any other standup albums in the pipes.
