Everyone is wearing winter coats at this point in the show; so Dec, Jan or Feb maybe?
I don't know what this was filmed for - it seems to be a standalone short but maybe it will air as part of a later episode of Louie? It's great, though.

This episode featured just the right amount of Artie that I can withstand.
That short ASR posted is an extra on the Season One DVDs. Louis gives in an intro and mentions it was one of the first things they shot when they got picked up for series, and they didn't have control of the supermarket, so they had to keep dealing with shoppers who wanted to take advantage of some cereal coupon on that aisle.
Ah, thanks. Where was that on the DVD? I thought I explored every inch of those special features. It's packed away in a box right now so I can't check, but I'm just surprised I never saw it.
Second disc, deleted scenes, I think.
I love the way the store manager's eyes dart around as Louie is explaining how the woman won't apologize.
Louie gets memorable actors for many of the supporting roles. The lady at the pharmacy in this week's episode and Never in last week's episode were great.

i like louis's glasses.
I like Marc's legs.
Like how Louis' glasses make him look like a young Uncle Junior.
Also, the pharmacists looked so much like the gas station attendent in No Country For Old Men that if it wasn't him I'm depressed.

I have this new-ish thing where I cry easily when people have intense emotions. I felt very uncomfortable getting slightly teary-eyed during Louie watching Maron's set and the following interaction. I think the uncomfortable comes from being too invested in people I know/don't know due to gobbling up everything they say and do in the public eye. And remembering their WTF and their tears.
