No one has mentioned the street sign scene? Equivalent genius to the hangover in the coffee shop scene, so perfectly expressing that experience in a unique, hilarious way. Plus the show looked so fantastic.

It seems these days most shows of this quality take forever between seasons. So glad to have this back already.

I've done that, by myself and with other drivers; stood at a sign and tried to figure out if we could park there. Or sometimes you find an amazing parking spot in like, midtown, and there are no signs but also maybe two other cars on the whole block so I've sat in my car for 15 minutes trying to figure out if I am parked in a legal spot or not. Like Cameron in Ferris Bueller.

Loved everything about this episode. The stuff with the signs was so great. And Gaby Hoffman was excellent. (I still see her and think, "I'm Moley Russell's wart.")

The stuff at the very end was the best.

Agreed on both accounts. Did they change DP or anything? I know he's not editing the episodes now, but I couldn't remember if they made any other changes like that. And "Mad Men" is another example of a high-caliber visual show and it takes FOREVER between seasons. It is nice to have this show back again.

Oh yeah, that could totally be it actually. I remember him tweeting for help in locating some lenses, that would make sense. It looks like he found what he wanted because there's an even more cinematic quality to the show now.

Ha! I can totally see it. I really did love Gaby in this episode though. She really nailed that thing that women can do where they can see right through your dumb shit and call you on it, and you're kind of petrified that they figured you out, and yet you're still dumb enough to just keep doing what you're doing. Even after being found out.

What a work of art. The punch came so far out of left field my wife and I rewound it twice because we couldn't believe we just saw that. But my favorite scene was them being drunk and cracking each other up. I don't know, it just felt like a real moment people have with each other.

This might be boring speculation, but it's my guess that Allan Havey's part was originally written for Nick DiPaolo. Nick mentioned not being able to be in one of the episodes because it was being shot on a weeknight which conflicts with his new radio program The Nick and Artie Show.
