Kyle Kinane's possible summer tour (a little help?)

I'm looking to possibly tour in early/mid August and I'd like some help. I have a three-night run in the Southeast with Mr. Oswalt (Asheville, Knoxville, Nashville) and a possible date in Chattanooga. If I were to drive from LA, could folks help me out with shows along the way or on the way back? I'm looking at maybe Memphis, Tulsa, Kansas City--stops that are in a somewhat direct route from the West. Could conceivably pull off Denver, Phoenix, or Dallas as well. I'm open to suggestions.

Like I said, these are all just drawing board musings at this point. But if you nice folks out there think you could set up a fun show in your town with local comics or bands and get a few people out, I'd like to give it a shot. It would be the lowest of budgets, so if the show came with a couch, that would be pretty great too. Thanks for reading and feel free to email me on Facebook with any ideas. Cheers.

There is a theater in Dallas that mostly has music but is actively seeking comedians that would like to perform in a venue outside of the normal comedy club circuit. It is a really beautiful room in a very non-Dallas part of town.

I'll PM you his contact info but post the website in case anyone else is interested.

Texas may make it on the docket. I've got a couple Chicago shows coming up during JFL in a couple weeks, so...

Chattanooga is a really fun town. I came in yesterday for a visit and they were telling me that they were going to try to get you to come. I've done 4 or 5 shows in Chattanooga over the past 2 years and they were all really fun.

If you do a show there, you should get some Whorehouse Fried Chicken at Lamar's "Hotel" and Restaurant. It's delicious.

This is actually coming together. Can anyone recommend any up-to-date comedy message boards/local comedy listings for the following cities:
    Kansas City
    St. Louis
    Memphis
    Chattanooga
    OKC

Possibly more to come. Thanks for looking out, AST!

I told my manager in Baton Rouge to contact you, but if he doesn't, COME TO BATON ROUGE!

Where is that dude who runs the mad cap theater when you need him?
Seriously going to try track him down about this.

Paul F Tompkins just booked a show in August at The Firebird (http://www.firebirdstl.com) in St. Louis. It's a cool rock club that is looking to book comedy shows. Doug Stanhope has also done some shows there and it was a blast!

PFT also did a show at United States Art Authority in Austin if you're thinking about coming down....contact Coldtowne Theater; they booked the room.

Coldtowne is a small improv joint similar to The New Movement theater...I saw you do a show there during SXSW.

Idk if Cap City is booked already for August but it would be good to check out.

I was thinking the same thing. Mad Cap got hot and heavy into comedy a couple months ago with Jimmy Dore and Marc Maron coming to town and since then not much. I checked the calendar and they don't seem to have a lot going on over the summer.

I saw Kyle open up for Norm MacDonald at the Tempe Improv earlier this year and he killed. I'll definitely be there if you make it back to Phoenix this summer, Kyle.

I really don't have any places near me (Lexington, KY) since that is east,
but let me say, Kyle, I was already excited when I saw Patton was coming a mere 3 hours from here,
then I checked your dates after listening to you on I Love Movies and my heart started fluttering (in a totally fag way :-p)!

Loved "Death OF The Party," got it a month ago, hope to see you work on some new material along with the greatest hits at Nashville.

    Keep on truckin'.

Kyle, if you're still thinking about Austin, I can put you in touch with the ColdTowne people if you send me a PM.

Thanks, everybody. Looks like Tempe/Phoenix will be at a place called The Modified. More details to follow, but I think I can make a go of this. Again, thanks to everyone that got in touch with me with suggestions. I hope to have this finalized in the next couple weeks and I'll get all the details up here and elsewhere.

Is that in addition to the 3-nights in August at the Tempe Improv?

If you're coming through the South, check out Bottletree in Birmingham, Alabama. They've had a bunch of good comics (including Patton) and they have a pretty cool audience typically.

Kyle, I maybe able to help you with Omaha. Also, if you need a place to stay there for free I can for sure help you with that. My brother will feed you steak and make you drink beer with him but other than that it maybe the best place you sleep the whole tour.

Lincoln has some places that do comedy now also.
