John Mulaney: The Top Part (new CD out 3/24!)

John Mulaney's new comedy album "The Top Part" will be released on MARCH 24th on Comedy Central Records. You can order it through Comedy Central or Amazon, your pick.

"Mulaney is one of the most talked about new comedians on the scene. A writer for SNL, John cut his teeth touring the country with his unique brand of storytelling and love of the TV show ''Law And Order''. This album is an hour performance recorded in front of a packed house of rapt listeners."

Awesome! I was at one of the shows this was recorded at. If you listen very carefully, you might hear a chubby guy (me!) getting progressively more intoxicated. But probably you'll just hear Mulaney being really funny.

I wasn't really familiar with John Mulaney's work until I heard this, but this CD was a great purchase. For a young guy (27), he already has the poise and confidence in his delivery of most of the seasoned comics I like, like Paul F. Tompkins or Louis CK. I can tell he's going to become one of my favorites. His jokes are intelligently written and the last track on the CD is hilarious. I can't wait for his Comedy Central Presents special.

Does anyone know what other sketches, if any, he's written for SNL besides the "Of Mice and Men" sketch?

No, but I wish I did. He has been one of my favorites since I moved to NYC three years ago. I'm glad he's getting all the props he deserves. He's a genuinely nice fellow too. It's great when good things happen to nice, hard working, talented people.

the plastic wrapping at the store i bought it at said "JOHN MULANEY - NOT FOR NOTHIN'." i'm guessing it was a proposed name before "The Top Part" from the L&O bit.
