    It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

i'm just pulling from wikipedia to start this but...

In June 2008 Season 4 teaser commercials began running on FX with the date September 18, implying that Season 4 will begin on Thursday, September 18.

On July 15th, 2008, it was reported that FX has ordered 39 additional episodes of the series, on top of the 13 being developed for Season 4. Which, according to IGN, means that the show will run until a sixth season at least. All five main cast members were secured for the entire scheduled run.

Season 3 DVD on September 9th.

Let's hope it improves on season 3. It was still good, but nowhere near the brilliance of season 1 and 2.

I hope to see less of Charlie's learning disability. That joke was much better when it was just hinted at randomly instead of being the main focus of the show.

I love this show. This is good news.

I think I may have said this in the old IASIF thread but that board is dead now and I am ready to let the past be the past. Charlie is one of my favorite television characters in HISTORY.

I can't agree with you more. Case in Point: Nightman

This is such a great show. It makes loving assholes so easy. It has one of my all time favorite cold open's ever. The masturbating bum in the alley with Dennis, Dee and Mac (who is wearing a shirt that says "What are you looking at dicknose?") staring at the guy. Just amazing.

I think it's a big stupid mistake FX is making by removing the Nightman clips from Youtube. Can someone tell me what twisted thought process is involved in keeping these hilarious clips from being circulated? Do they want the show to continue with an exclusive audience? How am I supposed to promote this show to my friends if I cannot forward funny clips to them? Yeah sure it's available on Hulu but you need to login, which NO ONE is going to do. Forget about their website, it's like a Flash program vomited all over it. Get some damn clips on Youtube you idiots or your show is going to go the way of Arrested Development - another show that figured out WAAAAY too late that viral internet marketing was their salvation.

Personally I don't like giving out great moments as introductions to shows, it has to build. Nightman is something you'll appreciate much more if you get to know the characters! Force your friends to watch the shows!

I've only seen season 3 once but I really liked it. When they yelled at the lawyer to give messages to their dead mother... oh man.

I agree with that completely and they made the 3rd season especially the way they did so it would be easier for people who hadn't seen previous episodes to just jump in and enjoy without being to involved with back-story.

It's your duty now that you have seen the third season to go back and truly enjoy the first and second seasons.

I watched season one through three and you can see the show developing in a positive way that makes you anxious about watching the next episode.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else have an issue with playing two episodes back to back when they air? Don't get me wrong, I love IASP, but I feel back to back episodes burns through the season so quickly it doesn't have time to build a following. Not to mention it doesn't help that FX scarcely airs re-runs. Does anyone know why they do that?

Did that guy say NO ONE has a Hulu account? Even I have one and I never sign up for anything.

Re: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

It's nice to see this thread has been re-born. These guys are awesome and totally dedicated to their craft. I had the pleasure/displeasure of working on a few episodes of season 3, and the pleasure part was being able to work alongside Charlie, Rob, Glenn, and Kaitlin who are the greatest. The displeasure was shooting 12 pages a day on mini-dv with, well, I won't get into specifics about the hell of shooting. Either way, I can't wait for season 4, I agree that fx is retarded the way they air the episodes, and Charlie Day is a comic genius and will one day achieve wide acclaim.

Oh, and when we shot the dayman/nightman episode, they kept singing the dayman song around set days before we shot the scenes for it, and the song was so damn catchy that I had Dayman stuck in my head before I even knew it was part of the episode(I didn't have time to read the script beforehand). Now it's my favorite episode. "Champion of the sun..."

Really, a comedy nerd like you has a Hulu account? Wow, I stand corrected. I guess we've proved that the members of aspecialthing.com can pretty much carry any great tv show into syndication so there is no need to get the general public involved - you know - the kind who have never seen an episode of Arrested Development and only think of a musical group when the term is heard. Maybe you come from a younger generation but I have friends who have never even been to YouTube so getting them to click on that link is quite the challenge much less getting them to sign up for something to see it.

I can't wait for the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia panel at Comic Con. My co-worker told me to try to find out if Charlie remembers the words to Night Man, and if so, if he'd treat the crowd with it.

Apparently, they're going to show an episode from the new season.
