Harmontown! Dan Harmon's Podcast of His Live Show

I'm addicted. So listenable. Great dynamic, good sound recording, I love the audience interaction and I'm on board with everything they've done so far. I just wish I could have heard more from before they started recording.

Anyway, yeah, I'm a taxpaying citizen of Harmontown and also I am a volunteer firefighter.

Harmontown is literally the greatest. Twenty minutes into episode 1 and it was already my favorite podcast. Admittedly, I'm a swooning Harmon fanboy, so I may be overselling it. But seriously, if you like what he does, you will like this.

I have also been really glad to get to know Jeff through the podcast. There is a not insignificant amount of him in Jeff Winger.

I am so glad you posted this. I'm addicted. The Pringles Can song in the 4th (?) episode might cause a divorce in my house as I can't stop singing it NONSTOP.

I do want to revisit that song. I have the Night Court lyrics memorized but that one slipped by. They've definitely cracked through a new level of confessional podcasting, admitting the dumb songs they sing all the time, like the "little snack, little plate" pee-accident causing song and the "Gay Al" Johnny Cash parodies. I love 'em.

This podcast is probably the only one where I have not disappointed my wife once when I insisted on retelling a story from it. The Price is Right one, especially, that was epic. But the whole thing is fascinating, funny, great.

I actually played her moment when Jeff asks whether Dan's D&D character is going to be named "Mitch Knifeblade" and Rob Schrab issues a delighted cackle from the audience. If Rob Schrab was off-mic in everything, all the time, I'd be pretty happy with that.

Glad this thread exists for a podcast I'm also glad exists. I've listened to each episode multiple times. Dan as Liam Neeson from The Gray might be one of the funniest things I have heard since this funny joke I heard a while back.

Is anyone going to the live shows? I feel like I need to go them every week now, N-word.

I listened to the first ep a few weeks back and downloaded some more but haven't listened yet. Not that I didn't enjoy the first ep, I just have way too many other shows backed up lately.

Finally made it to the live show. Got a front and center seat which turned out to be almost too front and center. I was maybe 2 feet away from Dan Harmon the whole time he was on stage and it felt like I should have moved.

NT was the first person in line. Dan came and shook everyone's hand and of course being as obnoxiously neurotic as I am had to turn my handshake into a bit.

I won't spoil anything that happened during the show but there was a guest that played what I think was the funniest segments of D&D on the podcast yet. He also mentioned the reason the podcast was delayed was because he had been out of town. Though he didn't give any timeline on when the next one would be up. I think it is a continuation of Greg Proops appearance from some of the references they were making.

Also, Spencer really seems to be pretty comfortable in his position. He had quite a few funny lines.

I'd like to go to the Halloween show where everyone is supposed to dress up like Jarreth from Labyrinth but I'd be going alone and there seems nothing sadder than a lonely Jarreth in a group of Jarreths.

I done messed up, A-a-RON! Thought Harmon's book went on sale 12 AM PACIFIC but, apparently, t'were EST. To quote the great Esther Rolle, "Daaaamn, daaaamn, DAAAAAAAAAAMN!"

it was PST, but it was at midnight and not noon.
