    George Carlin 1957-1970

    I know it sounds like I think George Carlin died at the age thirteen but this is in reference to the first thirteen years of his showbiz career. I just finished a piece about those weird Carlin years over at the WFMU site:

    Holy cow, that is one of the best things I've ever run into on AST. Just a wealth of fascinating information on Carlin.

    As one of the commenters says, you should really write the definitive book on Carlin. You write well, you care about the subject, you care about the details, you're willing to do the legwork, you don't push your viewpoint on material that doesn't fit it -- those are pretty much the only qualifications.

    I'm not a Carlin fan, but I am a big fan of Mr. Nesteroff's writing. Another great article.
