Footage You Wish You Could See Again

Are there TV moments that you wish you could see again but they are nowhere to be found on DVD or the internet? A certain Conan episode? An unappreciated SNL sketch from years ago?

I bring this up for two reasons. The first is that I'm making a trip to NYC soon, and I'm visiting the Museum of Television and Radio. One of the great things about this place is that they make their entire archives available. I was there three years ago and watched and episode of The Dana Carvey Show before it was available anywhere (before hulu.) Also, I watched an early David Cross stand-up appearance on MTV's The Jon Stewart Show. I found it to be really interesting.

The other reason is that I think it'd make for interesting discussion. I recall Jesse Thorn talking about how he wishes he could find a clip online of Jack Handey's Tales of Fraud and Malfeasance in Railroad Hiring Practices from a 1995 SNL ep with George Clooney. I might look it up when I go there.

So what do you wish you could see again?

Joel Hodgson when he did stand-up on SNL. I remember loving it.
Chris Elliot under the stairs stuff on Late Night.

Maybe I should check YouTube before I suggest these?

i dont even know if this is available on a dvd or something, but that one strange guest-sketch-ish thing that happened on SNL that entailed like a chip that could be put into people's brains so they could hear the same song inside their head forever. everyone that got one shortly went mad and killed themselves.

Re: Footage You Wish You Could See Again

Back in 1996, I happened to tune into Conan, only to witness "Max on Max", the Max Weinberg sex tape. Conan vowed to never show that clip again, only to show it later on in the episode to point how disinterested Max was having sex with himself.

Ive searched high and low, but the clip hasn't appeared anywhere.

However, I did find out what episode it was. So if anyone has a show #569, March 22, 1996 episode of Conan O'Brien, with guests Loni Anderson & Thomas Hayden Church, please upload it for our viewing pleasure.

Also, the November 9, 2001 episode featuring the follow-up to Dudez-A-Plenti, where they're working on a music video. (I have the song and read the transcript, just never watched the episode).

I have this vague recollection of Tony Randall on Conan sometime in the mid to late 90s talking up charity that was connected to Kentucky Fried Chicken. So he came out, sat down, and started eating the chicken before they started the conversation. I THINK this is what happened. I may have dreamed this. But I've always wanted to see that again.

I've been looking for the original airing of Tom Green's SNL appearance. Not only do they never show the re-edited version, you seemingly can't find the original version anywhere in the world. Does anyone besides Tom Green himself have this? Twenty Dollars goes to whoever can hook me up with this... but it has to be the original airing, not the re-edited bullshit.

The celebrity secrets segment from Conan especially the Harrison Ford and Tom Hanks ones.
Harrison Ford: "It's not easy being a celebrity. Once this little kid, this cute little kid asked me for an autograph. I gave it to him. He said, 'Thanks Mr. Hanks!' I took it away from him, tore it up, and told him Tom Hanks was dead."

Tom Hanks:"The best thing about being seen as the nicest guy in Hollywood is that no one searches my backyard for bodies."
·'No, you're wrong Shmee. They're not bad people. They love me. They don't really mean it when they tell me to get kidnapped.'

    Is that video? Nope
Is the text good of course but, there is no emotion just in the words.
I want to see them again as in the video not the text, I want the special delivery each star brought to it.

I see this on ebay and amazon.com's used section for not a lot on VHS. I have it, and it's worth spending a couple bucks on. Funny stuff, and it has a lot of great people in it.
