I don't think we ever had a thread for this show during the first season, but it's coming back July 1st (along with the final season of "Weeds").

Overall, I found the first season to be OK, although I'm always wary of shows where a celebrity is playing themselves; it usually just leads to a lot of tired, predictable jokes (about "Friends" in this case). It's already been done much better by Garry Shandling and Ricky Gervais anyway, so why bother. I do like Tamsin Grieg and Stephen Mangan who play the husband and wife couple; Grieg especially has done a lot of great sitcom work in the UK, and I usually found their scenes together to be the best parts of the series and much more interesting than LeBlanc's. The kicker for me came when LeBlanc won an entirely undeserved Best Actor in a Comedy award at this year's Golden Globes, when clearly that should have gone to Steve Carell.

I absolutely loved the first season of this show. However, since the airing of Season 1, my new roommates decided to do without Showtime as part of our cable service, despite my protests. So, I don't know, I guess I'll have to pirate it or something? Ugh.

I thought the first episode of the second season was pretty good and better than I remember the show being. Even LeBlanc grew on me a little bit in this episode.

I have been enjoying the second season of this show a lot more than the first season. There has been a lot of great dark humor, especially in the funeral episode, and LeBlanc's impression of a deaf girl he had sex with who was trying to do dirty talk was hilarious, especially Mangan's horrified reaction. The backstory of LeBlanc's stalker who was a Make-a-Wish kid was funny in a very wrong way too ("She was hot...especially when her hair grew back"). Everyone seems to be firing on all cylinders this season, especially the supporting players- I like the uninterested secretary, even though she is kind of a ripoff of April from Parks & Rec. Even LeBlanc has been a lot better this season I think.
