This was fucking amazing.
This was fucking amazing.
"The wisdom and the the spiritual beauty within Roy Jr ... it's just effin sick!"
LOVED IT! I love that the character is still your typical Chris Elliott fuck-up/goof ball type, but he's also kind of a badass!
Great job Jason Woliner!
Also, Maria Thayer and Brett Gelman were perfectly cast...and it took me forever to realize that was Michael Gladis!
hi, i'm steve
First when I looked on my DVR and saw that it was only 11 minutes long, I got sad. But I should be ashamed of myself! OF COURSE these guys can squeeze that much incredibly funny material into 11 minutes. God it was so good. Congrats everyone!

Loved the first episode. Really hilarious. But as a huge fan of the people involved, I fully expected to love it.
The "leapfrog" bit with the airplane propeller made me laugh as hard as anything in a long time.
Chris's mugging for the camera was such a perfect way to end the episode. So excited to have Chris Elliot back! PLEASE don't fuck this up, Adult Swim.
It was great, but what happened to the satire of neoconservatives the official announcement hinted at? I wonder if Adult Swim has problems with shows that have overt political satire, because that's what happened with Saul of the Mole Men, too - in the original pilot, Saul was a jingoistic xenophobe.

Mike Lazzo, the Cartoon Network executive in charge of the Adult Swim programming block, said it was too complicated for a 15-minute program. “We saw the pilot and said, ‘Look, it’s great — but it’s way too smart for our audience.’ ”
I hesitated to post this, because I don't want to imply that this is in any way copying off the Naked Gun -- because that is NOT WHAT I MEAN -- but I couldn't help thinking that if Leslie Nielsen could see Eagleheart from Heaven, he would be smiling.
(and pushing that little fart machine. if they let him bring it in there...)

This show is amazing!!
Wow, I've been thinking for a pretty long while now that I had dreamed the idea of Eagleheart being a show-within-a-show. Thanks for finally confirming that I'm not crazy.
So that's what happened. Huh. Guess what we're getting is better than nothing. I agree that the concept sounds a little complex for a 15 (which is really 10 minutes) show, but I would have liked to see it since Larry Sanders is my favorite sitcom.
About to light one up and watch Conan/Parks & Recs/Eagleheart. Not a bad way to start the weekend (or is it?).
Pure genius - yet another wonderful gift from Chris Elliott to the world.
Absolutely brilliant. Shattered my already high expectations.
I give the premiere fiveout of five.Spoiler:
And now I can't even imagine how the show was in its original form. All that crazy over-the-top ridiculous **** would not have worked as a fictitious action drama.
Looking forward to more and I hope it will be a ratings success (I have a feeling it will be).
I'm on board with everyone here. I absolutely loved it. I couldn't have been happier with the first episode.
Just had my first "bad post" rating. I feel like a young girl losing her virginity, excited yet a little bit hurt.
Bummed they aren't repeating it on Sundays. That's usually what they do with their Thursday premieres. I wanted to tell my Chris Elliott fan of a dad to tune in on I dropped the ball on Thursday. Somebody please tell the president of Adult Swim how upset I am for me, please!

Nor did they put it on adultswim.com. Don't AS shows typically show up on their site a few days after they air?
Not anymore. There's a much longer turnaround now. Like a week at least. Don't really know because I don't really use it, but they mentioned it on a bump a while back.
