Hey everyone, Having Fun! here breaking the latest comedy news that slips past Bill Brasky's long alien-like fingers.
I received this via my good buddy Kon who doesn't care for this board. Thanks, Kon.
So my comedy hero is working with my favorite talk show host's production company to make a show for the inconsistent but still pretty good adult alternative comedy venue on cable. That is just about the best thing I heard all year, if not all decade. We haven't seen Chris Elliott on TV much since his sitcom Get A Life had been canceled besides his semi-regular appearences on Everybody Loves Raymond. Hopefully this show makes it to air unlike his CBS pilot, You've Reached the Elliotts. This seems like a match made in heaven.Chris Elliott to star in Cartoon Net pilot
Chris Elliott has been tapped as the lead of "Eagleheart," a live-action comedy pilot for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.
Meanwhile, Nate Corddry has signed as a lead voice on Cartoon Network's upcoming anim(EDIT: who cares)
"Eagleheart," from Conan O'Brien's Conaco Prods. and Dakota Pictures, centers on a low-level television executive sent to Texas to produce the action series "Eagleheart." He finds himself stuck in a never-ending power struggle with his temperamental star/creator/exec producer (Elliott), a veteran action star past his prime who uses the show as a soapbox for his right-wing politics and conservative paranoia.
Michael Koman and Andrew Weinberg penned the script and are exec producing with Troy Miller and David Kissinger.
For those of you still unconvinced that Chris Elliott is anything other than a modern-day comedy legend, here are a few clips proving how much of a dork you are. BUT HAVING FUN, COMEDY IS SUBJECTIVE AND--shut up, dork:
