The comments on the guy's photos and the "movement" (I honestly don't know what to call it) page are getting to be a little much. At first they were veiled death threats, but now they've become blatant death threats. I'd honestly be a little scared if I were this guy. Doug's hardcore fans aren't always the most rational people. It's definitely going to ruin his evening.

Standhope is touring the South in August with a brilliant Chicago comic named Junior Stopka. I couldn't recommend Junior highly enough. In fact, I need to make a trip back home sometime this summer, and I hope I can hit one of these tour dates myself.

Doug was recently on my friend Spencer Dobson's podcast LINK. They talk about Doug's show at the Nestor Tavern in Fargo (Which he referenced on The Todd Glass Podcast). I was at the show and I loved it because of the chaos. I would have hated it if it was almost any other comic, but Doug ripped it up given the circumstances.
I met Doug Stanhope 6 years ago at the punchline in SF. I called him "Doug StandDOPE" the wole night. I wonder if he remembers.....
