Yeah, the Steve and Zach chat was awesome. More of that and less Todd Glass. Too many cooks in the kitchen.

Less Todd Glass? I can't even parse that.
The second time Todd did the answering machine message radio commercial thing was the hardest I laughed all weekend.
(I don't know what they're reacting to)
I once decried the use of more than three guests on these very forums, but despite the insanity, I truly loved this episode.
Also, "less Todd Glass" is like less joy. Why would anyone want that?
I love a man that can rock a colorful sock.
todd, zach, steve, and marc have all been very well behaved guests on previous eps. and other than picking the baby as a name tag (which, you may recall, scott aukerman did as well in one of the bumbershoot '11 shows), dave anthony was pretty docile and agreeable. it just got out of hand in a way that i could not anticipate and i decided early on that there wouldn't be many games. once people wouldn't stop playing with the helicopter and doing non-movie related bits, i gave up. it was certainly fun to be there, and todd is the easiest to blame or give the credit to if you hated or loved the ep. one positive that will rise from the wreckage? i'm only going to have five guests again in the future if one of them is john mulaney.
(or if i change my mind)
I was really hoping he did end up calling it "Bomber".
So did I, there were plenty of really great jokes in this episode aside from all the physical stuff.
Do people really get that mad if there aren't any games? I understand if the live audience is let down but people at home know they can't win prizes right? In the last two weeks there have been three full live episodes and two boners. Life's good.
Very co-signed-- I never get all the hand-wringing over a free podcast...I put it on and cruised around my neighborhood, enjoying it as much as any other one and looking like a crazy person, cackling as I walked across the street, trying to picture Dave Anthony staring down a baby...
"I feel the same way about disco as I do about herpes." HST
unfortunately, things that are free are still open to criticism and scrutiny. as anticipated, i got a ton of tweets saying that ep was tough to sit through. but i think the pre-apology led to a little less backlash than it would have gotten if i just put the ep out there as is. and i think a "no games" ep would be more acceptable with listeners IF the reason we didn't get to the games was a fun discussion about movies. i thought a disclaimer was necessary on this one because there were no games and almost no movie talk.
i'm happy to say the ep that plops tonight has some good movie talk and a full len maltin game.
(and singing!)
The episode may have been confusing and a little scattered, but no less entertaining.
Also, omfg adorable:
If I was woman my ovaries would quiver for Dave Anthony.
I agree with everything said above - except the quivering ovaries part. I have never had a complaint about any free podcast - if I don't like it, I can stop listening. But I enjoyed this one. The fun was contagious. And the pre-discussion was thoughtful. It was an entertaining heads up.
Also, not to be all kiss-assy but I don't think there's ever been a DLM that didn't make me laugh. Some more than others but that's how life works.
I just appreciate all the goodness.
Yeah I loved this ep, and if I was woman, you hear me roar.
I'm excited about that picture above. I will be listening post-haste upon receipt.
I'm just wondering what Zach did for the whole show? Did he wander around or did he just sit there? I heard something about an american flag.
"She walked out of the room using that pretty ass I mentioned earlier to propel herself forward. I felt like my dick had been kicked up into my mouth, making me throw up from having a dick in my mouth"
