Great episode. Despite the absence of Anthony Jeselnik, the episode was hilarious and awesome.
"Diarrhea, you've outdone yourself"
remember how the last NYC ep was all dudes? well, tonight's show isn't.
DLM from NYC with sarah silverman, tig notaro, nikki glaser and amy schumer has plopped!
thanks, nat!
I was one of those at home fist-pumping* when you made the Voight-Kampff reference. I even have my own V-K machine!!
(it was the crummy plastic packaging that the special edition 5 disc box set came in... )
*I may not have actually fist pumped, but the thought was there.
This episode was an absolute joy from start to finish.
What a fanfuckingtastic episode. Lovelovelove!!!!
the dlm recorded last night at the l.a. podcast festival with steve agee, todd glass, marc maron, dave anthony and zach galifianakis is for anyone who doesn't like games or discussions about movies. with most of the panel's attention focused on sound issues and particularly creative name tags, it's a real "you had to be there" ep.
(but we're releasing it anyway!)
Yeah, I'm not sure how well this one's going to translate to an audio podcast. There was a lot of facial humor (especially Zach, who said about 5 words during the whole episode) and physical shtick with nametag props that won't mean much to the listener. PlusIt was still funny due to everyone's goofing around, but it's too bad there wasn't much actual movie discussion or any games. I'm actually glad I got to see it live, because Doug's right, it was a real "You had to be there" episode.Spoiler:
(I'm typing this in the Sheraton Delfina mezannine, where their free wi-fi area is, probably not too far from wherever Doug is, depending on where his room is).

I did not know Albert Brooks was in Private Benjamin.
I know how much you like being corrected days after the fact, so Bill Duke didn't direct "Waiting to Exhale", it was Forest Whitaker.
I love the way Amy Schumer says the "c" word. It's so effortless and carefree coming out of her mouth...like the way I say "toast" or "arm".
Loved the "clam bake" NYC episode. The part where Tig called Todd Barry had me laughing pretty much nonstop. The Podcast Festival episode was cool too. I actually liked the discussion with Agee and Zach more than the other part.
yeah, i liked the steve and zach hotel room chat, too. they were both very fired up after the train wreck taping to give the show's listeners some actual movie talk.
