thanks for the B of A joke kudos, but boy does it get a mixed reaction when i do it onstage. actually, mixed is a generous word for it - some people laugh, most don't.

the next ILM is being recorded tomorrow night at ucb-la before CDR with two very special guests!

    (B very of A!)

Who were the special guests last night? I hope they were more "steakhouse" special then "olympics" special...

Andy Daly. Wayne Federman didn't show up, so Sarah Silverman stepped in (but just for the Leonard Maltin game).

wayne was a witness at a car accident, so he didn't make it to the show. as jouster said, sarah appeared at the end for a round of len maltin. the next ILM tapings will be before the dec. 2 and 16 CDRs. who will my guests be? and will they show up?

    (oooh, suspense!)

That table is much smaller than it was in my head.

Also, I'm not sure that this is necessarily the most appropriate thread for this but I'm curious, is there anybody else that liked Death to Smoochy? I know it's pretty universally hated, but there is some great stuff in there. Edward Norton gives an awesome Woody-from-Cheers-esque performance and, as mentioned on the podcast, Catherine Keener is awesome. And actually my favorite line comes from Vincent Schiavelli as the heroin addicted former child entertainer. "Sorry if I smell like piss, you know how it is."

If I may offer a slight reasoning. I consider myself a somewhat intelligent gent, and knowing of the joke from AST, when it began I intently listened. I will admit that a full three beats of silence went by after the end until it hit me (maybe I'm not so intelligent). Now when I "got" it, I laughed my fool head off (I'll offer my kudos as well), but maybe some in your audience aren't that good at phonetical humor?

So at the end, Sarah gets self-conscious about her voice and goes for a lower tone! I love Sarah's normal (for her) voice. Spread the word! Start a petition! We love Sarah-voice!

    Well, I do anyway.

I'd like to thank Doug for his comments about "Rachel Getting Married". What a boring, pretentious POS that movie was. Absolutely no likable characters, and it really is like sitting through a 2 1/2 hour wedding with people you don't know (and would most likely hate if you did know them).

    re: Doug Loves Movies

On the way home from I Love Movies, I came up with a good response to Doug's question about funny moments from Semi-Pro that didn't make the cut. Here's an exchange that Arnett and I improvised that did not make it into the movie:

ARNETT: Jesus Dick, the Tropics defense tonight is uglier than your sister.
ME: Lou, please! My sister was murdered!
    ARNETT: For...?

    BEAT

    ME: Being ugly.

    Better late than never?

Oh and buy my album at the AST store. If your friends and family don't get it for Christmas, they might kill themselves.

I'd buy a DVD with just that exchange on it.
