Anyone else hear a Seth Rogen-y laugh in the background? Also, I wanted to know if Hall and Oates are called Corridor and Oates in the UK. And, I will show myself out.
I enjoyed Kate as a guest without Riki (even though I love them both equally). You should have a singular Sklar on sometime.
Annoying correction time! Mel Gibson has gone on record saying his beaver-voice was based on Ray Winstone..
...which was one of the nicer things he has gone on record saying, actually.
yeah, still sounds like michael caine to me.

New free boner ep with Ben Schwartz, Samm "The Ma'am" Levine, and David Huntsberger, live from Flapper's in Burbank.
Doug, you spoil us with these, and for that we thank you.
Samm Levine's Wikipedia page has said 'Samuel Franklin "Samm the Ma'am" Levine' for almost two months now.
Even better.
I'm-a saving the boner (ep.) for a long day o'flying/airport tomorrow...

"I feel the same way about disco as I do about herpes." HST
So what is the general consensus on Samm Levine? I know that guests sometimes joke about not liking him (Aukerman and PFT mainly) but I have been listening to old episodes lately and have noticed that a lot of his jokes get a pretty cold reception from the audience as well. And I noticed in this episode he even brings up the fact that none of the audience was happy for him getting a point on the Leonard Maltin Game.
I love Samm. I think he's a great guest and a funny guy. I think Scott and Paul joke about him because they are also very competitive about the game, and Samm tends to win. I think the audience tends to just side with the likes of Scott and Paul because they love them, and then Samm gets shit on, unfortunately. Samm gets the game more than most people do and knows how to work it. That last 12 guests of Xmas? He just constantly bid the highest that he could and made it to the end. He knows his movies but he also has strategy.
The Kenobert riff was pretty great.
Never Samm Levine again please.
Here's my feelings on Lil' Wolverine: to me, he's like the villain that you love to hate. He pisses me off, but I miss him if he's gone for too long. So, more Samm the Ma'am!
A Love Song for Bobby LONGest Yard. Come on, people.
I like Samm, but he does come off as a Mr. Smarty Pants know-it-all sometimes. Like in this episode, after it sounded like someone in the audience said "rape", he said "Is Kim Novak in the audience?" and then complained when no one laughed. You can't throw out obscure industry-related jokes like that and expect them to get a really good response (look up "Kim Novak" and "rape" on Google if you really want to get this joke).
By the way, in regards to Jack Black being in Dead Man Walking, Tim Robbins has put Jack into all the movies he's directed (and Jack and Kyle are both in "Cradle Will Rock"). This is because Jack and Kyle were in Robbins' Actors' Gang theater group when they were first starting out and he kind of gave them their start in the business.
(I am sure you know this, Doug, just thought it was interesting trivia)
Edit: There's also a Tenacious D poster in "Zathura", which I'm sure was Robbins' doing too
speaking of smarty pants know-it-alls...
I wonder how Ben Schwartz and his fear of confrontation took Samm and the audience getting into it and Samm and The Hunger Games getting into it. I remember he mumbled something like, "What is happening?" after one little tiff. I enjoy Samm being on the podcast, but he did seem a little more Wolverine than Ma'am in this episode.
