I don't see the problem. Everything sounded fine to me and I throughly enjoyed the episode.

bullshit? listen, there's nothing here to lie to you about. let me run through all the facts again, and then you can quit with the accusations.
i've known greg proops for years, and telling the audience they suck is part of his schtick.
as mentioned above, matt belknap is the one who records proops' shows in los angeles, and that's why the crowd is miked properly. when we go on the road, we sometimes take chances with sound personnel we don't know.
proops recorded his show after mine at sxsw, so maybe adjustments were made to make it sound better. or maybe not. has that ep even plopped yet?
the audience was great at my show at sxsw. they weren't miked right, so they sound dead. on a couple occasions, when something didn't get a laugh, greg chastised the audience. despite the sound issues, we uploaded the ep (for free download) and then (on here and on twitter) a total of about five people pointed out that the sxsw audience sucked. four of those folks accepted my explanation.
in conclusion, i'm so glad this has been completely settled and won't be mentioned again.

Greg's SXSW ep drops Friday. Not sure how it came out because it hasn't been delivered to us yet.

Am I the only person that didn't notice any sound issues? My ears have been stopped up due to allergies, but I don't get the ballyhoo.
Did you use headphones or speakers? I was listening on my headphones and it sounded strange. I'm not an audio guy, but it seemed like it might have been the balance between the left and right channels shifting back and forth a bit. It didn't seem noticable when I listened through my speakers, though.
Speakers. I had it on my Bose in my kitchen.
I heard the whispers of murdered children the whole time. Distracting.
Doug, I sent you a Linked-In request! Please respond!

Hey, remember when Doug said this was settled and there's no need to mention it again?
So, uh, stop doing that.
Hey, check me out. I'm a ghost.
I've embarked on a DLM marathon at work, starting with older episodes. Listening to talk about the Lithgow campaign or plans for a LMG tournament makes me feel like an old-timer... in the very best of ways. For me, this is the only podcast I can revisit. I truly appreciate that it makes me laugh every damn time.
Also, trying to explain a podcast to stupid co-workers is a waste of time.
this week's ep features matt mira, kumail nanjiani, rob huebel, pete holmes, and pete holmes' tj miller impression. to protect your ears, you should probably listen on speakers.

Getting ready to see my 1st DLM taping in Nashville. Does anyone (hopefully Doug) do stand-up before or after the taping? Not that a no stand-up event wouldn't be great anyway. I can dream can't I?

It should just be a straight podcast taping.
It should just be a gay podcast taping.
