I transferred to another department and I can finally listen to DLM at work. I admit that the whole headphones thing influenced my decision to transfer positions. Like housework, my job has become more tolerable. It's really a double win - I can enjoy listening to a podcast and annoy co-workers with my laughter.

I can't help but laugh every time Greg Proops says "Comedy Banj Banj".

I may not understand how Build-a-Title works.

my point was, and still is, that you don't pronounce the "don" in "gordon" the same way as the "din" in "ordinary." so you are wrong with both the pronunciation and spelling.

    (plus, none of this matters)

I definitely pronounce those the same way, but I'm from Kentucky.

Yeah Flash Gordonary People works for me too. (And the one person I surveyed if that's interesting, which it definitely isn't.)

Warning: my production at work decreased by approximately 99.9% after discovering comedy podcasts.

But is it worth it? Yes.

HaHa, on point. That crowd was the worst right? They didn't like funny. That crowd was the fucking worst.

Did you hear the latest podcast? The crowd didn't laugh at the jokes. Get it. It's not that deep.

Yeah, but you see how the premise of your joke was that you didn't catch that the audience wasn't recorded, but you quoted something that explained that fact? So...yeah horrible joke, sorry.

let me try one more time: the crowd was not miked. they laughed a lot. greg proops always tells crowds they suck, even when they are great (which they were). i'm hoping the BENSON INTERRUPTION shows have better sound. they will plop in a week or two.

(haven't left austin yet and i already miss it)

Greg Proops is a delightful man. I want to mention that DB looks way hot in the smoking GIF upthread.

Bullshit, have you listened to the live "The Smartest Man in the World" Podcasts?

There was laughter, and it was audible as mucch as the silence was.

    Re: Doug Loves Movies

Recording an audience isn't just dropping a mic wherever and flipping it on. Although by the sounds of it, that may be what happened with the DLM episode. There's a reason there are guys like Matt Belknap around making sure shit sounds right. The audio issues were probably fixed for Greg's show.

Putting aside the fact that Doug has no reason to lie and understands recording these things a lot better than any of us, why is it an issue worth pursuing?
