"She walked out of the room using that pretty ass I mentioned earlier to propel herself forward. I felt like my dick had been kicked up into my mouth, making me throw up from having a dick in my mouth"
Radio Days of Thunder-ty Working Girl With a Dragon Tattoomb Raiders of the Lost Ark
took me a sec to figure it out, but yes, DIRTY WORK would've gotten the job done.
(it's true that chelsea and nick has the same laugh)
I was thinking "Thunderball".
But as if someone on imdb (which you are) is playing some kind of sick joke, the title of the Gerard Butler/Sam Worthington movie slated for 2013 and previously known as "Hunter Killer" has now been changed to "Thunder Run".
Edited to say: Not the same movie, they're both still on! Apparently, they both enjoy hypothetically working together on awful sounding movies.
I would've gone "Thunder Bolt". Would've been harder to add to than "Thunderball".
yeah, it's super hard to then think of THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTFOOT.
Episodes of DLM with guests I haven't heard of usually make me nervous, but Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair absolutely brought it. One of the funniest episodes of the year so far.
Refresh your iTunes. Extra long bonus ep has plopped with Graham and the band Sleeper Agent
Really dug this one. Graham was great as always, and what could have been chaotic with so many people in a hotel room came out well. It helps that they are a good band and seemingly cool folks. The music breaks were a nice touch, as were the sound effects.
I'm also liking the few brief seconds of audience noise on the latest DLM's and Interruptions...adds a nice bit of ambience before the dramatic hit of either theme song.
Brand new bonus rental car ep. w/ Graham:
As Matt states in his insert, the new game they play is "MovieKatz."
BUT – on the Nick Kroll episode of You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes (January 2012), Nick related a story of playing a "movie game" with Jeff Goldblum, which sounds very similar to MovieKatz. So who knows who really invented it?
Moments when I was screaming at my iPod during game play: Sarah's Key (a film from last year starring Kristen Scott Thomas) and Candy Clark was Bowie's girlfriend in The Man Who Fell To Earth (with Rip Torn).
In truth it's a pretty common game that a lot of people played growing up. There may even be other podcasts out there that play it, although PodKatz is the earliest example I know of. (Meanwhile, it's weird that Graham didn't make the connection to Dan's show during this boner ep, as he is the only person to ever beat Dan Katz at MovieKatz!)
yeah, i played it a ton as a kid, especially at camp. i think it's a very common game.
i noticed that whenever dan starts a round, he always (?) starts with a film if there's an even number of players. that way, he's always tasked to come up with a film on his turn, rather than another actor in a film, which (in my opinion) is way easier to do. i might be overthinking moviekatz.
Doug, you should totally revisit COLD TURKEY. I saw it last year on the big screen with a good sized crowd, and it was pretty hilarious.
someone on twitter said that they call it Movie Pong, and another said that when they play, sequels aren't allowed.
