This seems relevant to the part about George Lucas re-releasing Phantom Menace in 3D:

"Dodgeball" ep. is good. Alan Tudyk in particular was a great guest - natural fit for the show.
BUTů one of the gals got robbed during BAT: Thunder Road

Haven't listened yet, but did she know it was a movie or just making it up and assuming it was a movie title? I think that's a rule.

She didn't defend herself, so she lost out. Not quite a Graham Elwood-type admission of fabricating a title out of thin air, but I knew it was a real movie cuz it was recently shown on TCM. Grey area…

Anyway, Doug, I second Alan Tudyk being a mighty fine guest. Good episode.

Ku-Ku and Wie-Wie?! Plus G&O? I'm calling best below average episode ever! I hope Kulap wore her Kulap knee-high socks to the taping.

Yeah, I thought Thunder Road was a movie. But I like the rule where the namer has to know something about the movie they're naming!

howard was the one who said THUNDER ROAD, and he even said it was from the fifties. if only he'd said that it starred robert mitchum, he would've been good to go. also, it doesn't matter.

I thought the Tudyk episode had someone say Thunder Road and then Howard tried to pull something similar with another movie in his episode (only he was joking around more)... but my memory isn't great, so I can't remember which movie he tried to pull it with. But, it still doesn't matter.

thanks for the new disgusting-cake-and-candy-slurping-sounds fetish.

edit: hope that comment didn't come off as critical and douchey. Thanks for the episode and all the free entertainment.
