Oh, Doug- is this the thing in the Avengerers that you thought was so funny?
WARNING: PHYSICAL COMEDY SPOILER - NOT PLOT RELATED

I cannot wait to see that on a big screen. I'm laughing my ass off right now.
it is plot related. it's something that happens in the movie, that would be much more fun to see in the moment it happens in the movie instead of in this thread.
and no, there's something i thought was funnier than that.
(stop guessing, just ask me in a private message or on twitter - thanks)
I'm not sure how I pissed you off Doug, but I apologize. I'm done with this site. I keep putting my foot in my mouth. Sorry to anyone I upset. Take care, folks.
i'm pretty sure that you didn't upset anyone. and that you are definitely a final word guy.

Samm Levine approves.
Never in the history of the internet has someone said "I'm done with this" with that actually being the last post.
Not without e-kamikazing, anyway.
All he said was there were hipsters at the DLM. Big fucking deal. Now he's gonna be kicked around for 3 pages? Let it fucking go. Retarded bullshit.
EVERYONE SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT
HOWARD STERN HOWARD STERT HOWSARD STRN!
jimmmyyyyyy
great epizode!
this was the turning point post for me. "at least we know going in." when someone on a message board starts speaking for everyone, it annoys me. "anyone who gets livid about a podcast should fuck off." that's unnecessarily harsh, especially since i was exaggerating about the level of vitriol i expected the lack of games to generate. (turns out there has been little to no anger - yay!)
your attitude in this post, and then what seemed like an ongoing need to throw your two cents in about every comment here by me and others, bothered me, which led me to jokingly tell you to spend your time elsewhere. you know, like i would if there were a heckler at one of my shows. who felt the need to chime in about everything. sometimes i let this behavior go, just try to ignore it, but other times i speak (or write) my mind about it. i could be overreacting, i could be too mean in my response, or too lenient and too forgiving (i let a lady in boston yell out incoherent shit through an entire show before finally asking her to leave, much to the detriment of a performance people paid hard-earned money to experience). could go in any direction. i do my best to please everyone, by responding to these things in an entertaining manner. but, like the song says, sometimes my best isn't good enough.
so stick around, make a comment every once in a while. but your words might bug (whether that was the intention or not), so don't be surprised and offended if a comedian/human being fires back, and maybe goes too far.

an imperfect individual
You make a very good point and I honestly had no intention whatsoever of speaking for everyone. I should have worded that post better. I only meant to say that if people are getting upset about the content of a podcast that is free then maybe they should realize that they have pretty good lives if that's all they have to get upset about. I wasn't trying to put my 2 cents in about every post, merely trying to respond to the ones that I had an interest in, which was really just 2 posts (lack of games in this episode, and the Hulk moment) before all this happened. I guess I was posting too much so I will cut it back.
An imperfect fan
Remember like three posts ago when you said you weren't going to post anymore?
You should have trusted that instinct.
I enjoy the games, and there have certainly been some great moments that have come from them. I would bet that they're more engaging in person than on the podcast, though. Especially if there are newer (but interesting!) or verbose (but fun!) guests, I don't think anyone would complain about more movie conversation at the expense of game time. I think listener polls will reflect this. Doug loves polls? The greatest podcast ever polled? I could be wrong.
Of course, Doug Loves Movies is not a Democracy, but a Dougocracy. This show could stay exactly the same and I would still listen every week, but I'm encouraged by Doug saying he wants to mix it up a bit more. There's a huge amount of potential in the cast of each episode, and the games don't necessarily play to their strengths every time. That's all I'm saying. Love the show, either way.
Well put, K.Darp. I deem your post "helpful".
I prefer "Dougtatorship."
I look forward to the future adventures of Redundo, Paul Scheer's super alter ego. Redundo vs The Fish Cannon.
my life is an audience poll. on here, and on twitter, and at my shows, people tell me what they like and don't like about my podcasts. i take it all in, make changes i agree with, and stick to my guns on things that i like as they are. the len maltin game was not a huge hit from the get-go. but over time people started bringing name tags to every show i do, even if it's just stand up. and now i'm pretty much obligated to play LMG at every stand up show, and i'm happy to do it. playing to guest strengths is something i always try to do, but that can be very unpredictable. so i will mix it up. and thank you for your encouragement.
(and EVERYTHING is more engaging in person)
So, anyone seen any good movies?
i know i can't tell you guys what to write on my threads, but since i'm an active participant in all three of them (DLM, TBI and Q and A), let's make this about me sharing info and you guys asking questions that are pertinent to the topic of each particular thread. please chat and snark among and at each other somewhere else. i'd really, really appreciate it.
(that's two "really"s!)
Snatch live tweet was enjoyed.
thanks! turns out a lot more people love that movie than i thought. and i like it more every time i see it.
I've not seen it, but after reading your tweetage, I want to.
Edit: N/m, I didn't see Doug's post, so forget it
