The irony of that game is that the name comes from the play "Six Degrees of Separation," which was named after the theory that everyone on Earth is connected by six or fewer people. So to say that Kevin Bacon is unique among actors for his ability to be linked to any other actor in six "moves" is dumb -- any actor can be linked to any other actor (or non-actor) on Earth in six moves. The game should be "Two Degrees of Kevin Bacon." That's at least a challenge.

Then again, the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" book was written before the Internet, when we were all much stupider.

edit: also, not everyone on Earth has been in a movie, which makes connecting people in the Kevin Bacon game a bit more difficult.

Also, I think the reason why it's Kevin Bacon is merely because it rhymes with Seperation. Honestly. I'm pretty sure that's all it is.

Yeah, I shouldn't post that early in the morning.

But I will say, to Aaron, that Kevin Bacon was in a shitload of ensemble movies in the early '90s, when that book came out. JFK alone made it a very easy game to play.
