True story about my child (I know we all hate stories about other people's children, but my kid is actually cool):
We were all sleep deprived and a little punchy the other night as we got off an airplane and headed to the airport parking lot to get in our car and drive the hour back to our house. My son was entertaining himself and a teensy bit delirious since he had been going non-stop since 6 a.m. (it was then about midnight). He started reciting the speech from the monorail at Disney World, but doing it in different characters. We heard "Please stand clear of the doors" as Mario, Luigi, Wario, Homer Simpson, etc. as we crossed the parking lot. As we got in the car and started home, I heard (from the backseat) a little voice say, "Hi, everybody. My name is Doug and I love monorails. This is Doug Loves Monorails".

He's ten.

I can bet that you don't say much worse than what he hears at home. Also, he loves the Len Maltin game. (He screams out "Toy Story" for every answer, however.)

FYI, the best BBQ i've ever had is at Gatlin's BBQ in Houston:

I don't normally like ribs, but holy shit theirs is transcendent. They also make the best brisket i've ever eaten and i've never had better sausage. I have yet to meet someone who's eaten there and has not said it's the best BBQ they've had.

Gatlin's only 4 miles away from the Houston Improv. If you go, it's best to call ahead with your order (281-804-4555), because there can be a lengthy wait.

Not a question, but i just wanted to remind you about your funny American Beauty/plastic bag/Hollywood tour guide tag that you came up with tonight.

I really enjoyed seeing how this joke evolved in the two weeks from when you did it on Comedy Bang Bang. It was really good then and even better now.

I would've loved tonight's show, anyway, but we've been so starved for standing comedy in Houston this past decade that tonight was even more amazing. I was also very proud of the fans you brought in, because that may be the best audience i've ever seen in Houston. Normally, there would be "positive" heckling or "woo-ing." They were also completely on-board with Mr. Elwood, as they should be.
