you'll get over it.
(someday)
Hey Doug.
Long time. First time. (kinda)
This is more A than Q, but hopefully you'll find it helpful.
i know you're looking for a place in charleston, SC for a june 11th date... (twitter)
http://www.theatre99.com/ may be your best bet. Todd Barry played there about a month ago, he could probably give you a better description of the place (from a comedians perspective).
Also, last year Aziz and Chelsea Peretti played another location, the name of which...is lost forever...unless there's some sort of internet or something.
thanks. sorry for also tweeting you this. love you. love the podcastS. love(d) the show.
ps - please come. i'll be at the cheech/420 show...but I know a LOT of your fans that are too cheap to cough up 42 bucks to see one of their favorite comedians and (the rest has been omitted out of respect for the other talented people in the lineup)
no, you won't be at the cheech show in charleston. it got cancelled. i was supposed to be on it. now i've got a ticket to charleston and a hotel room in charleston so i thought i'd go there and do a show anyway. never been before. but what i need is someone with a venue to contact me, not the names of venues. my agents say that all the venues in charleston are booked on july 11, and they are good at what they do, so i believe them.
(but thanks dude!)
ooooh. well I completely understand that. The owner of the above venue is an acquaintance. I will inspire him to get in touch with you if its a possibility. This is a sad state of affairs, but I assure you...you'll kill here when/if it gets set up. A Mr. Allen Hill will be in the front row with gifts, as we lack the convenient dispensaries you're probably accustomed to.![]()
thanks. hope it happens one day.
mark your calendar for june 11 - i think it's gonna happen!
(deets soon)
yay! deets! I assume they'll be on douglovesmovies.com?
ps - drag graham along.
Doug,
As a fellow theater fan, I was listening to the NY show and found myself wanting more Broadway talk. Have you ever considered a one-off special like "Doug Loves Broadway" or something like that?
"He who is tired of 'Weird Al' is tired of life."
Homer Simpson
that's all the questions i have time for right now.
I love the live podcasts you've done at the Gramercy. Any chance NYC will get a stand up set?
(Either way - Chris Hanson is not invited)
Will you be doing another special DLM in Philly in September?
the philly show in sept. might be a podcast but it will probably be a stand-up show with a touch of LMG.
(creepy way to put it)
This kid sitting next to me at DLM in NYC 2 weeks ago called it the Glenn Close Marathon.
Any plans for a movie interruption at Cinefamily in August?
