    Daniel Tosh

What are your thoughts on Daniel Tosh? I personally have never laughed so hard at a comedian as I did when I first heard him. I've also never laughed harder at a live show as when I saw him. To me his content is great and his performance is excellent. What do you think?

You guys each have 54 words in your posts. I find that fascinating. Don't ask me why I threw it into Microsoft Word to count it, but I did. And I'm glad that I did, because my Rain Man hunch was right. You should count how many words are in my post now. Please.

That’s absolutely fascinating. Daniel Tosh is a pretty funny dude, I enjoy his comedy quite a bit. I saw him live not too long ago, he signed my DVD and such. I’m a fan of his comedy, though he seems to be losing popularity. Please keep all posts in this topic 54 words long.

I'm pretty sure I don't like Daniel Tosh, although I can't remember specifically why....

Because one of his jokes is how you know you're not winning an Oscar if they seat you at the back of the theatre because it would look like this *mimes running for 10 minutes* and he also murdered your family?
What was the best concert you've been to?

I love Dan'l Tosh. He consistently makes me laugh and his last CC special was dy-no-mite.

Somebody please let me know if I just opposed or agreed with "cornflakes cornflakes cornflakes."

His first CD "True Stories I Made Up" is one of my favorite comedy CD's and his whole set on that album is so tight. I'm surprised this thread has started and no one has mentioned his new show Tosh 2.0. It sounds a lot like Web Junk 20, that Patrice O'Neal hosted. (54)

That press release makes it sound AWFUL. He deserves a better show than that.

Tosh.0 had its first episode.. what'd we think?

I laughed very hard at the coconut karate chop guy. I think a comedian commentating already funny videos could be a good idea!

Re: The "not worth its own thread" thread

When it comes to Daniel Tosh--I'm a huge fan. I think he's an amazing writer and a fearless performer. I've seen him perform live, I've performed on shows where he's been a host...and I think "True Stories I Made Up" is one of the best comedy albums ever made.

When it comes to Comedy Central's new show "Tosh.0"--yeah, not so much.

    No offense.

Cash those checks, Daniel--I can't blame you for gettin' paid. Meanwhile, I hope to see you when you're back on tour!

pg--I'm guessing I'm not going to be a fan of MTV's "Dj & The Fro" either.--seattle

    Re: Daniel Tosh

I posted my thoughts on "Tosh.0" in the "Not Worth Its Own Thread" thread.

pg--Which kind of hints at how I felt about it.--seattle

    Mod edit: not anymore!

    Post-Mod Edit Rewrite:

I ORIGINALLY posted my thoughts on "Tosh.0" in the "Not Worth Its Own Thread" thread.

Which was meant to hint at how I felt about it...

pg--After that, someone decided to complain about me doing this stupid thing I do, which TRULY is not worth its own thread...and thus was my Tosh.0 comment moved here. Kind of made this post superfluous, really.--seattle

Re: The "not worth its own thread" thread

    pg - question -

Did you not think it was at all funny?

or did you just think Daniel Tosh could do better and that the show was a bit cheap..? or indeed both?

    tomtheflash - answer -

I didn't laugh. Some of the clips they showed, I laughed at when I found them on-line, so something about the show actually reduced their entertainment value.

I think Daniel Tosh could do better...in the fact that I think he could be part of a better show. I doubt that he could be doing better as the host of this specific show, because I think he's doing what he can to try...but it's pretty dire.

The show is INCREDIBLY cheap. It's like someone saw BWE and The Soup and thought "How could we do something like that but without as much effort?" And then they flipped over to TruTV and saw "The Smoking Gun's World's Dumbest Criminals Part Nineteen" and thought "Hey, what if we did sort of the same thing, but we got rid of the C-list comedians and D-list personalities and, instead we could hamstring a brilliant comedic mind and shove him front and center of a show with a very lazy concept made with poor execution...and hope that by sheer force of personality and charisma, he makes it work?"

Again--fan of Daniel Tosh, not a fan of Tosh.0.

pg--Your mileage may vary...but I wouldn't waste filling it up with gas, much less take it for a ride.--seattle

I don't get how many shows like this have to fail before they realize that this show can't be done. Web Junk was awful even with Patrice Oneal, then they tried it with Jim Bruer, which was obviously horrible, and I'm sure there have been other attempts
I don't do a radio show anymore, so stop asking (nobody asked)

I haven't watched it and I don't even plan on it since Daniel Tosh is great and he deserves a better show than this.

Though this Web Redemption thing I've been hearing about sounds like it could be okay.
