Wyatt Cenac's spot featuring elderly Jewish voters in south Florida last night ("Baruch Obama") was fantastic.

That's great. Looks like Wyatt has a lot of promise for the Daily Show.
Sparkiepop just got a shout out in the credits for Wyatt's "Rapper or Republican" segment.
It's true!

Wyatt and John Oliver are the only two reasons I watch the Daily Show anymore. Wyatt's preternatural dryness is developing into one of the finest comic personas of our era.
I know this show has haters on the board now, but if you didn't see Jon Stewart interview Jim Cramer... you should probably do that.
Something just happened.
As in a comedian who hosts a popular semi-nightly fake news show was able to tap into something that had been inexpressible in the media, and speak the rage people are feeling to someone who could have maybe done something about this mess. I don't know how funny it was, but it was extremely cathartic to watch.
Very.
(Video's not up on ComedyCentral.com or in the linked article yet, but it will be soon.)
Night gathers, and now my snark begins. It shall not end until it gets hacky. I shall take my wife(... please!), hold no lands, father no negative ratings. I shall wear no crowns and win no AST Top 20 Rankings. I shall live and die by my posts. I am the LOL in the darkness. I am the fire that burns against the trolls, the sneer that guards the realms of men from Kyle Cease's Comedy Boot Camp. I pledge my life and honor to the AST's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.
The unedited interview is up now.
I don't know how Jon Stewart is so good at breaking people down so quickly. All Cramer is doing is making concessions and saying "I'll give you that" the entire time. Is it because these people think the only way to come out on top on this show is to play nice and suck up and try to subtly sneak in their side? Either way, it's an amazing thing to watch and it's great that Jon Stewart can directly confront without coming off like an asshole pundit. Another interesting thing about this is that the audience doesn't seem 100% against Cramer, so they don't come off like an angry mob.
I've grown distant from the Daily Show, but there really is something about it that's consistently refreshing.

Stewarts just frustrated he took Cramers advice.
Kinda messed up at the end when Stewart says "its not a fucking game" uh no the stock market is HUGE FUCKING GAME! A sophisticated game of intuition, forecasting, predictions, experience and analysis. This was a liberal smear job on a guy who didn't really deserve it. Those hidden tapes of Cramer talking are nothing more then a one man dick size contest about how he has so much market manipulation which isn't true. I learned in 5th grade not to believe everything I hear on TV. Besides, this is what financial consultants are for.
Interview wasn't even about Cramer, so I don't know how it was a smear job against him. It was a media critique about how the financial news networks operate.
That said, this country could use a few more liberal smear jobs.
Just to address Aaron1933, the reason Stewart can do that is that he picks his targets wisely. In other words, Cramer and CNBC are incredibly compromised; what could he say, they didn't whip up their viewership into a frenzy over the bull market? They did hold these liars' feet to the fire? Of course not. He's basically fucked, so the best he can do is abdicate his nominal, lame-O identity as a "journalist."
I'm a Daily Show fan. Even through stale times and unfunny (or tired in some eyes) bits, it has always been a consistent source of great commentary on the bullshit that happens evry day in all facets of our lil' land.
That said, I enjoy Styewart, not only for his wit and humor, but becuase he's smart. This interview, I literally thought was going to be a funny but somewhat poignant romp because they kept making fun of how over the top the media was being on their "war". But as soon as that shit started, it got uncomfortable with some spot-on commentary. It reminded me of Stewart lowering his comedy mask for a moment and railing into Crossfire. I loved it.
How great was that Carlin shout out? "Thanks George".
You seem like you know a lot about the stock market and finances, souporman. From where did you get your knowledge?
Cramer is a lifelong democrat, just so everybody knows...
Holy moly this thread has brought me to the insane genius that is souporman's post history.
