I love Offerman, but he obviously knows very little of the whole story. Harmon was never actually THE boss of Community. The suits told him, the Russo brothers and one of the other producers (Jake Aust, I believe) individually that Community was "their" show.

Semi-pedantic, perhaps, but I'm speaking based on what Harmon has revealed in the weeks since his firing. I believe that Chevy believed that Harmon was his boss, and never liked him for that reason, but that simply was not the case. Those three parties separately thought that they were the show-runner. In the end, Harmon was only ever what he is still now, the creator.
Well, considering I never said that, no, but Chevy's been publicly humiliating himself for years, and that voice-mail message wasn't anything we weren't already aware of in terms of him being a colossal douche-bag.
*side note: I don't feel like arguing today, so let's nip this in the bud now. Happy Independence Day, Community thread!
Publically humiliating Chevy chase is righteous and appropriate for all people and at all times. I hope the pallbearers do it at maya angelous funeral.

For anyone curious as to what the American "IT Crowd" pilot was like, it's surfacing again online, maybe because of renewed interest in Guarascio and Port/Joel McHale/Richard Ayoade. Huffington Post just wrote an article about it and linked to a video:
I kind of forgot that it was Jessica St. Clair who played Jen in this pilot.

Got my dvd of season 3 in the mail today. No Dan Harmon Cast Evaluations but he is on quite a few commentaries, so I'm happy.
I obviously have nothing interesting to add to this conversation.
Dan Harmon is doing a Reddit IAMA 8/22 at 3 EST, Dino is doing one 8/29 3 EST http://havingchanged.tumblr.com/post...ing-an-iama-on

The blog about Dan Harmon, "Having Changed" is posting excerpts from his season 3 commentaries, which were done before he was fired. A bittersweet highlight (from "Basic Lupine Urology"):
"If Schrab isn’t directing most of the episodes for season 4 when we get it ordered today than there’s been a political maneuvering."
