This was a great episode.
I laughed a lot, but found the idea of Jeff and Annie distracting. Isn't he about 20 years older than her? And I don't care what this fantasy show is trying to do, McHale isn't hot. I think he's funny and I enjoy him in this but every character in this show treats him like his sex appeal is undeniable. But I deny it. I deny it with ease.
My girlfriend is crazy for McHale so I guess he has some charms, plus arent Britta and Annie relatively close in age???
Back to the Chevy thing, I really am amazed at how he "got his groove back" so to speak, when you compare his performances is the last few episodes to the cringe worthy appearences he put in on SNL Weekend Update or even the earlier episodes of Community to my eyes something really has clicked back into place, and it really makes me happy to see someone recapture something so special.
In real life Alison Brie is relatively close to Joel McHale's age, but on the show I think she's supposed to be about 18 or 19.
On the show, it's Annie and Troy's first year out of high school. I think they've hinted that Jeff is supposed to be early 30s (i think in reference to Britta being around 27). At 34, i'm not sure that i'd be comfortable with that, but then i'd need a 19-year-old Alison Brie carnally desiring me to know how i'd react.
As an experiment, i'll settle for a 27-year-old Alison Brie, instead.
In the show she's 18. It's weird.
Chevy Chase is older than most 20th century churches and is trying to woo the late 30's Yvette Nicole Brown. I say let your love grow, like a mountain stream.

Also it's not like the characters jumped into anything, they were obviously dubious of the prospect of getting together, possibly due to the age thing.
Another thing, a 18/19 year old dating a thirty something isn't the strangest occurence, especially in a college where age groups are mixed.
I think a lot of the creepiness lies in Jeff being established as a manipulative sex fiend and Annie as the ultra naive go getter. I get that Jeff was freaked out as much as Annie but knowing what we do about their characters it amplifies the age discrepancy/ickyness.
As the lone anti-community AST-member I feel like I am in a unique position to give this show a compliment that is actually believable.
Chevy Chase is fucking great. I still don't necessarily like this show... but I will watch it every week until it's gone just for Chevy Chase. He figured out what Burt Reynolds never could and he has now come out the other side, filled with the shining light.
It will never not be funny to see Chevy Chase fall over, around and into things.
Does that me we will see him onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

If Bill Braksy wasn't creeped out by it, you guys have to let it go. You have no argument.
"(inaudible) I've seen, basically, all of those at this point."
(laughter)
"Yes, but have you ever seen Threen Wolf?"
