    my favorites were:

    1) Norm MacDonald-I think it's sad that there are going to be millions of people that didn't understand what he was doing and think he was so hacky.

    2) Gilbert Gottfried-I was incredibly shocked by how funny he was

    3) Cloris Leachman-dirty old ladies crack me up, just like Betty White did in the Shattner roast.

I feel bad for Jeff Garlin. I suppose he nor the producers knew that Norm was going to do a gimicky set not that following Norm wouldn't have been the toughest slot to begin with. Garlin is just way to sweetheart of a guy to do a show like this that's probably why he had to go into character. You know who I'd love to see as a roaster - Andy Daly. That deadpan would be dead-ly. Posehn was pretty good by acknowledging the little girl on Full House who always gets ignored (I can't point her out) and he also wins the award for the best reaction shots of the evening. There wasn't a split second where I thought that any of the jokes were getting to him - not so much on Jeff Garlin - maybe because most of the jokes about Garlin were lame. I think the show would have been an all time classic if Sagets reputation for salacious humor were more hidden beforehand. It seems to me that Saget's been roasting his own reputation for half a decade now, though they got some good mileage out of that in the opening montage.

I couldn't hear Norm over the sound of my own laughter about halfway through his set. Why isn't he doing something I can watch all the time?

People feel this way about Norm MacDonald? I guess I hate people, then.

Sarah did a joke or two warming up for this at CDR about a month ago, but I guess she didn't perform. She doesn't write for others, right? Did anyone do this joke?: "Bob Saget calls his balls The Olsen Twins. No, wait, he calls them 'Michelle.'"

I didn't watch this because my tivo was taping other things, but right before it changed channels, the promo had her in it. She wasn't on screen at all?!

Sarah Silverman, Lewis Black, and Don Rickles did short pre-taped segments. I believe Sara did use that joke in her taped bit.

Here's a comment I found on the Comedy Central Insider site:

"I highly agree, however I will have to say that Norm Macdonald is the most BORING! Most of his jokes sucked (really _dry_ humor at most) and he was even using note cards -- which he had to read closely from.
I was hoping someone with the likes of Lisa Lampanelli would have been able to attend, but I will say that Cloris Leachman is a close second!

People who don't know anything about Norm or comedy will think the same thing, and it makes me angry.
