Thread: comedy albums with music?

    comedy albums with music?

I'm trying to think of comedy albums where the comic is performing alongside music... can you think of any?

I've got: hedberg's "strategic grill locations" and stanhope's "something to take the edge off"

I'll even throw Dean Martin's "live at the sands" -- which is kind of a comedy album.

"Rant in E-Minor?" Yeah that's an amazing album. I've heard it called the "dark side of the moon" of comedy albums.

Though, the music was engineered into the act during the album's post production -- I'm seeking albums with music playing live as the comedian performs.

Can't really help you, but I did find a torrent of some guy who took "Skanks for the Memories" by Dave Attell, edited out the laughter and added jazz music. It's odd.

When California slides off into the Pacific, we'll all sit in the cool breeze on the shores of Arizona Bay.

    Blowfly!

It's rude and crude, but can be quite funny.

I suppose I could suggest Weird Al as well, but his stuff is more studio-based.

Blowfly's stuff feels much more live, and he does have standup sprinkled throughout his stuff (sometimes by his friend Butterfly)
