I realize I am way behind but I am catching up watching this season and I just watched the "British Hospital" episode. I thought it was pretty funny. As an avid watcher of British comedies I appreciated that this episode was written by Sam Bain (half of the co-writing team of Bain & Armstrong, responsible for "Peep Show") and directed by Tristram Shapeero (who directed on "Brass Eye" and "I'm Alan Partridge" among other classic shows, but lately is directing lots of American comedies like "Community", "Happy Endings", and "Parks & Recreation"). Peter Serafinowicz also appeared in this episode, in Michael Cera's role as the announcer guy, doing his excellent Michael Caine impression.
I may be alone in this, but I like "Childrens Hospital" much more than "NTSF". I feel like I should like "NTSF", but it rarely ends up doing anything for me. I sort of recognize what they're going for in the parody, but it just seems too over the top and corny most of the time and doesn't make me laugh. Paul Scheer is excellent at satirizing pop culture on the VH1 shows and "How Did This Get Made", so I'm not sure why this show ends up falling flat for me usually.
I haven't seen NTSF yet, but there's no way I could like it more than Childrens Hospital because the latter is firing on every conceivable cylinder at this point and has become something of a comic masterpiece. If NTSF is doing the same, I will be equal parts frustration and delight. I don't have time for so much great comedy!
The episode with Michael Gross was called "Family Dies", I know I'm a few weeks late but I just noticed that now. Too funny.
That's actually NTSF:SD:SUV.
"Attention staff. I’m going to go get the papers, get the papers. That is all, that is all.”
"Wisedocs" was incredible. This season started a little slow for me, but after about 5 shows in, it went from strength to strength each week.
"I feel the same way about disco as I do about herpes." HST
Can Adult Swim greenlight a series starring Ken Marino portraying the actor Just Falcon who portrays Dr. Glenn Ritchie on Childrens' Hospital? Because last night's interview with the Newsreaders guy destroyed me.

Great season finale.
Fun fact: The German Shepard in the 'Dog Bartender' clip was Rob Huebel's dog Cornelius.

Speaking of Newsreaders, I hope that starts up soon. Need more Mather Zickel in my life.
I think they said February for Newsreaders. Also, so many great little moments this week especially Just Falcon. (as usual)
Newsreaders starts January 17th.
(I put it in the "Things to look forward to" thread)
Nevermind. Tried to post a video and it didn't work. Carry on...

The lingering scene of the coffin was brilliant.
David Wain tweeted this out, it's a link to a Warner Brothers site where you can pre-order Childrens Hospital Season 4 on DVD:
http://www.wbshop.com/product/childr...+1000397223.do
I don't see this on Amazon or listed anywhere else as coming out, so maybe this is the only place you can get it from? It says "Made to Order DVD" on the site, kind of similar to when those Michael & Michael Have Issues and Demetri Martin S2 DVDs were only available online when CC didn't want to release them in stores. Is there that little demand for this?Hopefully that doesn't mean there's not going to be a S5.
Edit: Yep, just saw this on tvshowsondvd.com:
The first 3 seasons were released in stores, but [adult swim] and Warner Bros. have decided to go a different route for Childrens' Hospital - The Complete 4th Season: It will be available on April 9th as a manufacture on demand (MOD) title from the Warner Archive Collection, and is available to pre-order now from the WBshop.com online studio store using the button link below.
