    Bob's Burgers

    Premiering January 9th on FOX.

    DESCRIPTION:
(from FOX's press release, November 2010) BOB'S BURGERS, the new animated comedy about a man, his family and their burger joint, opens Sunday, Jan. 9 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT). In the newest addition to the Sunday "Animation Domination" lineup, BOB (H. Jon Benjamin, "Archer") and his quirky family have big ideas about burgers, but fall short on service and sophistication. Despite the greasy counters, lousy location and a dearth of customers, Bob and his family are determined to make Bob's "grand re-re-re-opening" a success.

    PRINCIPAL CAST INFORMATION:
    · H. Jon Benjamin as Bob Belcher
    · John Roberts as Linda Belcher
    · Kristen Schaal as Louise Belcher
    · Dan Mintz as Tina Belcher
    · Eugene Mirman as Gene Belcher

    CREW INFORMATION:
    · Anthony Chun as DIR (Pilot)
    · Jim Dauterive as CRTR/EP
    · Loren Bouchard as CRTR/EP

I'm glad there's finally going to be something different to break up all the Seth MacFarlane shows on Sunday nights. This looks like more of a Dr. Katz/Home Movies/Life and Times of Tim type show. I miss Squigglevision (sniff)

Very much looking forward to this. Love all the folks doing the voices.
Squigglevision? I've yet to see it. But I did sell a Prius to the woman that created it. Does that count?

The first episode is on Hulu. It had a few very funny moments. I was delighted to also hear Andy Kindler and Sam Seder's voices. I'll definitely be following this show.

I liked it alright, not the best first episode but there were a few laughs, and I like the cast a lot.

I enjoyed it while remembering that first episodes are rarely ever homerun affairs. It was great to get to hear Sam Seder and Jon Benjamin yelling at each other in a cartoon again.
"The wisdom and the the spiritual beauty within Roy Jr ... it's just effin sick!"

I love it already. Loren Bouchard may make shows specifically for me. Kristen's character is my favorite so far, and I like how Eugene's character has been set up. He reminds me of Bobby Hill.

As I said in the other thread, I really enjoyed this, especially for a pilot. Eugene's megaphone absolutely killed me. Really great timing all-around on the episode.

I really enjoyed this. Hearing multiple voices from Home Movies also made me squeal on the inside.

Hopefully it's not too quirky for the average FOX viewer and it gets a chance to continue.

I loved it and so did a bunch of my friends. Let's hope it sticks around - I think it definitely has staying power.

    Re: Bob's Burgers

Honestly I thought all the praise in this thread was exaggerated when I first read it, perhaps because of the show's less-than-stellar score on Metacritic.

But then I watched the first episode and it was very good. Great voice acting and some really funny stuff (favorite part was the boy using the extinguisher). There is a simplicity to the show that I find quite charming. The word "simplicity" might sound like a bad thing but I mean it in a positive way.

Fatburger on Santa Monica at Gardner (WEST HOLLYWOOD REPRESENT!) transformed themselves into Bob's Burgers.

Really liked this week's episode again. The "are you the ghost from 'Ghost Dad'" bit was great as was "hey, i'm funny in the wall."

I think this goes back to how much I enjoyed the feel of Home Movies, but my favorite part of the last episode was HJB's little laugh when Gene says "Salman Rushdie"

Yeah! I wonder how much of the show is improvised, because that moment seemed like it was.

They talk a bit about improvising in this video.

Ah I'm loving this show. I feel like even when it's not being funny the characters are sincere enough to make it really enjoyable.

    Very underrated show.

Dr Katz and Home Movies were both great shows. Life and Times of Tim....also great.

First episode I didn't think I would be that impressed and I found it pretty solid. This past weeks episode I thought was even more impressive.

I hope it is getting decent ratings and isn't dropped.
