Birbiglia Releases First of Many Possible Animated Shorts

Mike Birbiglia just recently released the first of potentially many animated shorts set to recordings of his album material. Animated by Matt Czap and produced by Birbiglia's brother, Joe AKA "Joe Bags", the first animated short is the "Old Mill Pond Story" from 2007's My Secret Public Journal.

It definitely gives off a "Shorties Watchin' Shorties" vibe, which I think it wicked sweet. What does everyone else think? Good idea? Waste of time? Do the visuals help or hinder? Obviously, the comedian comes first but does something like this ever add to the experience?
